Good Morning Friends~I hope you had a great Monday; I did-between swim lessons and my dental checkup and cleaning, errands and having tea with a friend, it was splendid.  I got a good cleaning at the dentist but she mentioned, since I don't go in every six months, that it would be a good idea to get a Sonicare toothbrush.  If you are like me, you've probably had electric toothbrushes in the past.  I am pretty fanatical about keeping my teeth clean(so you ask why I don't go in every six months-we have no dental insurance); when my hygienist told me that this electric toothbrush would help keep the tarter under control around my crowns and also help my gums stay in better shape-well I knew I had to go get one.  I will say I should have ordered it on Amazon, but I wanted to start using it immediately.   As we age, I think it is more important to keep our gums healthy, especially if you weren't gifted with perfect teeth.  I won't know until next February if it was worth the $$$ I paid but if it helps a little bit, then I'm sure I'll be happy.  I've gotten to where I hate going to the doctor and dentist.
So we are still awaiting that call; I talked to my girl last night and she was thinking, due to how busy their day is today, that it would probably happen today.  Every time the phone rings, I wonder.
Today I've just got swim lessons on the schedule and babysitting two of the youngest granddaughters for a few hours this evening; I really need to start sewing some PJ's for one daughter's family!  Yesterday my foot was bothering my quite a bit, so I didn't go on a walk or bike ride; today it is better so thinking a walk with Hunter sounds good.  I'm not sure what was happening with my foot-except that my ankle has still been bruised since the big dog took me down.  Our weather has turned cool here, such a bummer, so not sure what my afternoon will hold.
I hope you have a lovely day filled with blessings from above.
Hugs,  Noreen & Hunter

  1. I use an electric toothbrush and my hygienist was able to see the difference on my first visit after using it. I'll be praying that your hygienist will see the difference, too.

  2. Noreen, You just reminded me I need to make a dental appt...
Yes, those electric toothbrushes are pretty amazing.. They work wonders!!!
My good friend is a hygienist and every time she sees me she make me open my mouth for an inspection.. so, I always try to keep them clean.
    Have a blessed day.

  3. Hi Noreen! I agree with you...I do not like going to the Dr. or Dentist anymore either. Unfortunately, there are times we are forced to do so...that is the case for me in a couple of weeks. Off to the specialist...I dread the bills! You must be sitting on pins and needles waiting for your new little one to arrive!! How exciting! I sure hope that your ankle is feeling better...perhaps you bruised it or twisted it when you had the tangle with that big dog? Maybe just resting it for a couple of days will help. Hugs to both you and Hunter!

  4. Hello, I just scheduled our cleaning appointment. I am with you I do not like going to Dr. Appt.
But I am grateful to be healthy.
I must get my electric toothbrush out and use it again :)

  5. I don't go every 6 mos. either and I know I should. My daughters both have those sonic toothbrushes.
I hope that today is THE day- you must be on pins and needles.
I hope your foot improves. I have had a bad ankle for well over a year and it is no fun- xo Diana

  6. Thanks for stopping by. I've not been very good about keeping up either - life is too busy!
I didn't know you had an Alaina too. Hope the new baby comes soon!
I think I need to check out that toothbrush too.

  7. This is going to sound weird, but I still brush my teeth! I had to have mine pulled 12 years ago, but I still brush. I kept mine so clean, but the periodontal gun disease took its toll and in the end, they were all abscessed and had to come out to stop the infection that had spread into my chest.
If you can, keep them as long as possible. I should have lost mine so many years before I did.
Glad you had a good day and that your foot is better.
    ;)
