Happy Friday Friends~How has your week been? Mine has flown by again; as we get older, the days seem to pass more quickly-don't you think! We went to our town summer concert series last night; it is always so fun during the summer. The music venue is so diverse and last night featured Celtic Rock, with Piccolo and Bag Pipes. We took Hunter and also our friends and their puppy Bentley. Our youngest daughter and her kiddos met us there also; this made for a very fun evening. I'm so thankful that I didn't come home with any mosquito bites and that I didn't have to put on any bug spray. Hunter did really well and the puppy just wanted to play with him. It is so cute to watch them together. I was impressed that all the dog owners had their dogs under control; something I've always taken for granted until we had our minor incident on Memorial Day. It was pretty minor but for some reason made me
somewhat (very)anxious about large dogs; if you have known me at all for any length of time, you know I am a true dog lover and not had issues with fear of being knocked down. I think that as I've gotten older, I realize how serious it was be to fall or be knocked down; add it the fact that Hunter has had dogs go after him four times in the last year. So I am always watching now. Enough of that!
Yesterday I started cutting out fabric for the quilt and would love to finish today and start sewing. I have my ladies group this morning but maybe this afternoon. This Sunday we will have the entire gang over for breakfast to celebrate Father's Day and then Monday is our 35th wedding anniversary. Yippee!!! Although we won't be celebrating until July, when we go on the cruise, we will probably go out to dinner. Where did the years go?
I hope you have a wonderful summery weekend!
Hugs to you~

Hi Noreen ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you and John a very Happy and Blessed anniversary.
I have to agree with you sister. The older we get the quicker time flies.
Blessings, Ella
Hi sweet friend. And Happy Anniversary, a bit early. We are coming up on our 34th! My gosh, where oh where did the time go indeed!! You are so right, the older we get, the faster the time goes. Scary! But we are so blessed, aren't we...to live near our kids and grands, to be so much a part of their lives. What a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteThe outdoor concert series in the summer is so fun. We go as often as we can.
Enjoy the weekend Noreen!!
I hope you are not near those scary fires!!

We just celebrated our 36th. Congratulations! Our little town has a concert series every summer. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteLove summer concert stuffs. Sittin on the grass with my MOM and sometime Mr. Mark joins us when he can with his dog Gunner. Yep it is a favorite of ours. Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you.

Friday Greetings!
ReplyDeleteMom really could preach a sermon over responsible dog ownership. We notice those things too!! We went for our 6 mile run this morning. We are having a COOL and lovely day here, low 70's!!!! We only get it for one day and then it is headed your way so we hope you catch it!

I know you've told me ... but where are you going on your cruise?
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the cutting today ... hope you get some time to start sewing, too. I'm going to go quilt as soon as I get done here. ;-)
I am on a brief break from my sewing right now, but I will get back to it just soon as I can because I really want to finish up all but the rag quilt today. Your right, where oh where does the time go? I am anxious to see what you have come up with for the new grandbabies quilt. I haven't been to a summer concert in a while, but they are really fun. Happy anniversary! Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Hope your hubby has a wonderful Father's Day too. Thanks for dropping in for a visit!

Hi Noreen, I'm quite behind in reading blogs...still dealing with estate issues and feeling very worn out. I'm so glad you had an enjoyable evening with Hunter and the rest of your family! Enjoy your Father's Day celebration and Happy Anniversary!! Where on earth do the years go???

Hi, thanks for stopping by! Sorry to hear your pup's been bothered by the big dogs! Our Duke has had a few scares too. Thankfully he's portable, and I can just pick him up!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Sounds like you're going to celebrate in style!
I'm so sorry that you had that incident on Memorial Day. It is hard to get back your confidence after something like that.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Have a wonderful day!
