Happy Friday

Well, the roosters didn't crow as much during the night so hubby and I were able to sleep better.  In the morning yesterday, we bagan our search for "slippers" aka flip flops(we were successful) and ended up at one of our favorite shopping centers. Hubby had a taste for fish and chips so we went to the "place" here that he gets them at-o.k. there are tons of places he could get them but this was his favorite. I have to share that I love fish and I also love "California rolls"sushi but don't really get excited about eating raw fish-that may have changed yesterday.  I ordered Ceviche and it was swordfish with lime juice and cilantro as well as cucumber, onion, bell pepper.  I had never heard of this before but let me tell you the lime juice cooks the fish and it was wonderful.  It came in a Martini glass and was served with sweet potato fries. All I could think of was, where is my camera?  We will be going back there again and I promise to take some pics. We had a great walk yesterday-about 2 miles and then came back and went to the pool; the evening finished with hubby's best friend and his wife coming over to visit.  Glenn, is a great guy(Peggy, his wife, is a jewel) and is known by his favorite expression "It's All Good".  Before they arrived, hubby and I were sitting on our deck just watching the water when hubby spotted whales.  I can't believe they are still here but I've been told it's mating season.  It was so fun to watch the pod-the spouts and also the breeching.  Unfortunately, by the time Glenn and Peggy arrived we were sighting them anymore. We got caught up on their lives and then they headed to their condo-they also had a long day with flights.  Today the guys are golfing and I'll just kick back here, maybe go to the pool and catch up on blogs.  Peggy is spending the day adjusting to the time change etc.  Here was our sight this morning.

We too, are still adjusting to the time change.    I'm looking forward to just hanging out today; I'm not sure what we will be doing the rest of the weekend but for now, it's a restful day in Paradise.
Joy to you~Noreen

  10. That sunrise is simply gorgeous. There's absolutely nothing like a sunrise on the ocean ... we'll have a little bit of a walk to the beach when we're in Hilton Head, but it will be worth it to see the sun rising on the ocean. I love fish, but I've never had Cerviche. There's a place we like in Hilton Head that is supposed to have great Cerviche ... I think I know what I'll be having when we eat there. ;-)
