Outdoor Wednesday

 On the way to our youngest daughters home, we pass a home that has this incredible flower. I think it may be in the Hibiscus family but I'm not sure.  All I can say is that the blossoms are the size of a large dinner plate.  I am always blown away by the beauty of them and this year is no different. 
I decided that I had to show something to compare the size of the flower; just look at that baby. 
I also love the variegated colors; I realize that we won't have the flowers much longer-once the frost arrives,they will be gone.

    How GORGEOUS!! It sure looks like a hibiscus to me. We have one out on the deck, but its blooms don't get anywhere near that big.

    That is a gorgeous color. I've only grown them a few years and I'm still stunned at their size every year. So very fun!

    Hi there! I am a new follower - love your blog and your love for Jesus! I saw another blog where they had discovered the same type of flower. Amazing! How can people not believe their is a Creator - an intelligent designer - when you see something like that!! Many Blessings ~ Alice

    That hibiscus is fantastic. Ours just bloomed this week for the first time - big, but not enormous like that.

    I noted today that you just joined as a follower - I will enjoy having you visit and comment, if you wish. I always am curious as to how I get new blog followers. I'm thinking I need to get some more new friends, since so many have opted out of blogging - many are doing Facebook only. Fun, but not as good as blogging!

    Where in Colorado are you? I'm in Loveland.
