Good Morning to you! I am happy to say we are at Logan Airport in Boston and will head home today. We had a wonderful time with our dear friends until Monday when we heard about the wild fires in their city, also our old home town. It was a rough few days and as everyone can imagine they were under so much stress, not knowing if they’d have a home to go back to. It looked better Tuesday, but yesterday the fire was close to our old neighborhood. Thankfully a back fire was lit and seemed to stop the fire. Time will tell; many prayers are going up for the entire city and county. We will anxiously await word from them tonight or tomorrow. I am so thankful for the super tanker from Colorado Springs that headed out there. One of the things I realized again while watching them go through this, is the need for an emergency plan in place before a disaster occurs. So we will again set up a plan once we are home. I don’t think wild fires are our main concern, probably more blizzards and floods.
I hope you’ve had a good week and reflect on your blessings; disasters can happen in a split second.
Today I’m smiling and so thankful!

We have been praying for those affected by the fires, I pray your friends find everything safe.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, I so agree we should set in place an escape plan.
Blessings,
Sue
It must have been horrible for your friends to be on vacation and not knowing if they had a home to return to! I'm sure that must have put a damper on your trip even though the Fall colors are so pretty to see. It is always good to have a disaster plan in place as one never knows what could happen. Hoping that there is good news for your friends!
ReplyDeleteYup, no place like home! We are in for a lovely week here and hope you are too!
