Baby It's Cold Outside

Posted by Picasa
Happy Monday to you! You folks in California that think you really had a cold snap, check again at our temps. I do realize that there is more dampness in the air in your state, but seriously, one degree is just cold. However, it is a lot warmer than other parts of the country. Hubby took this pic and I'm not really sure why it is so blurry, but I had to share with you anyway.
Our weekend was cold and we spent most of it inside-watching football. You just have to know that Colorado is in mourning over the loss on Saturday; that is unless you were rooting for another team.  It took the fun right out of watching the other teams play.  We are now pulling for the 49er's to go to the Superbowl.
It won't be nearly as fun watching other teams go to the Superbowl, but we will try our best.  Due to the cold, I haven't had Hunter out since Friday; he is getting a little restless and I can hear him getting into some of his dad's magazines as I write.  I had planned on getting him out later and might try, if the temp gets up past 15.  He will go outside and play in the snow but it is just so cold that no matter how I bundle up, it doesn't help that much-and I'm not sure how good it is for him to be out in it either.
We had our daughter, sil and kids over last night for dessert and games-such fun!  The girls will be spending the night on Friday, so their parents can celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. I will go to the gym this afternoon and tomorrow have my class.  Thursday our ladies study starts again and it will be good to get back into a routine.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are staying warm!
Winter Hugs to you~Noreen & Hunter

  1. Yep it is cold. Last night it was -7 degrees. Right now it is 3. But I still go out in it and MOM took me on a nice walk around the neighborhood last night. But it was COLD! Times like this she wishes I was a cat. NOT! Just kidding. Keep warm friends.

  2. Hello! Your right! I have NO idea how cold 1 degree would feel like...WAY too cold for me I am thinking. When we are finally ready to have hubby retire (5 more years ~ maybe) Mike said he would put a little mobile home somewhere on their property so we could do just that. Come and stay for a few weeks, couple months etc. Hopefully that will all work out. Your week sounds good to me, just stay warm...ENJOY!

  3. It was quite the game, we were rooting for the Broncos (since the Redskins were eliminated last week) Now I guess we will be pulling for the Ravens next week. I am not a big football fan but my sons are, so we watch. your weather way too cold for me...stay warm an have a good week

  4. Hi Noreen... it is so bitter cold here too... this morning when I took Tessy out it was -2!... yikes!... and we had about three feet of snow in the past week... how does little Hunter do in the cold?... Tessy is a Summer girl and does not like it!... xoxo Julie Marie

  5. It is cold here, too, Noreen. I don't know what it is with the wind chill but the temp out back here is 9º-UGH. I am NOT a cold weather person. Hope Hunter can get out for a few minutes and I am glad you are getting back into your old routine- xo Diana

  6. I think it would be so funny to see one on the temps. I know we were in New Mexico and it was 12 and we were in a motor home and we had our electric blanket turned up to 10 and every blanket and coat we had piled on us and it was just plain cold. I can't imagine one. :) Yep, I have a friend who was born here in California and she came back here in the winter and she said it was colder here because of the fog. Thankfully we haven't had fog so I don't think it is too bad this year. Any way you look at it minus anything is just cold.

  7. It's sooooo cold here too, Noreen, that it's hard to believe it was in the 50s on Saturday & we rode the motorcycle for much of the day.

I'm sorry it's cold there too but... misery does love company. :) Keep warm!!

  8. Football weekend was awful for us as the Packers got slaughtered. Hope your weather moderates soon.

  9. Uhhh, EWWW!! I thought it was cold here (and that's one of the reasons we left CO). Lived in Pagosa Spgs--beautiful but OMG! Too cold and too much snow! Football's being boring here for the past few yrs. & we're ALL getting sick of Jerry messin' w/ the team. It's time for him to go. HA

  10. Oh mercy! That is just too cold!!!!
    Stay warm!!!
    xo Kris

  11. Hi Noreen! That is much too cold for little Hunter...even with the girlz CanadaPooch wear on...they do not stay out except to go to the bathroom and right back inside when it is that frigid outside. My lungs cannot take the cold air either. We are supposed to be getting much colder temperatures this weekend. What strange weather the whole country is having!! We were very sad when Denver lost too. Try to stay warm! xo Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug

  12. Now~ that is cold!! It has been unusually warm here, but it is soon to change, though I hope we don't see single digit.
Sorry about the Broncos loss, what a game that was,We were pulling for them, I thought of you.
Stay warm, and dream of all the fun times you and Hunter will have come summer, and then you can think of me as we are usually cooking, with heat and humidity.. ~lol

  13. That IS cold! And yes, if it's too cold for you, it's too cold for Hunter! :)
It's been cold here, too - but our warm-up comes tomorrow - 40s/50s!!! I may have Siberian Huskies, but I am not a cold weather lover!
