Hunter's New Do

We've all heard the saying that a good haircut can make you feel like a million bucks. Well, in this case, I think Hunter must feel pretty good. He did pretty well for his first trip to the groomers and we both really like the lady and her hubby; they have a grooming salon set up in their garage. Wish it meant it was cheaper; thankfully it is within five minute of our home. There was only one other pup when I dropped him off, complete with a magazine of the cut I wanted, and when I picked him up there were seven other dogs. All were quiet and seemed content in their kennels.
We just love the Teddy Bear trim he got.

Of course he did crash right away, so maybe it was a bit stressful for him.  I have scheduled another appointment but honestly hope that I can learn to trim him myself and avoid taking him in as much; we'll see.
On another note~hubby and I have always been avid viewers of American I*ol and are really hoping that Joshua wins this year.  Of course, Jessica is a dynamite singer too so if she wins we'd be o.k. with it.
The grands and I had a great time at the park yesterday; it was warm and fun to be outside with them.  I miss those relaxed summer days with them; but school ends next week so I know we'll have lots of park days.
Have a great Thursday dear friends.

  1. Hunter you look good in your new furs. I myself being a very short fured pup have never been to a fur cut place. Well not totally true. I went 6 times last year to get the skunk perfume off me. I love you all curled up under the chair. You are a charmer Hunter.

  2. It's so wonderful to see that Hunter is settling down (& you are too). He looks really beautiful - much like a Maltese. I just love the picture of you and him on your side bar.

  3. Good morning! Love his new "do" He is really soo cute. Glad it went well.

We are American Idol watchers over here too, and we are rooting for Joshua too. Jessica's voice is soo beautiful though, and honestly I guess I kind of like Phillip too. I have a feeling it might be the two guys in the final, but nothing would shock me, haha....guess we will know soon. ; ) Hope you have a good day Noreen...HUGS

  4. Yea for Hunter. I do the Teddy Bear cut on Ducey too. I have purchased some tools and now do his cuts myself. I just don't do the nails. I take him in once a year or so for a good once over!!!
I love Joshua, and Phillip, and even though Jessica has a gorgeous voice, she is my least favorite. They tried to make her too old, and it came across as cheap, in my opinion.

  6. Hunter looks great! He is sooo adorable..and I love his new "do".

I am hoping Joshua wins too. Whether he wins or not I do think he will get a contract from someone. He is so talented.

We are also watching Dancing With The Stars for the first time ever. Donald Driver is a friend of my son and he is the nicest man imaginable. He had an awfully hard upbringing and he can't talk about it to this day without breaking down. He is a kind, gentle man that adores his family and has not gone all "Hollywood" because of his skill and popularity. My husband has been voting for him every week...which I think is hysterical. xo Diana

  7. we love Hunter's new haircut. Mom used to have a cockapoo who looked a lot like a bichon. She always had her cut with a "lamb" cut. It looked very similar to Hunter's. He is such a cutie.

  9. Hi Noreen,
Love how Hunter looks with his new do. So sweet looking! We used to have a mini schnauzer years back,
and the first time he went to the groomer when he came back I didn't even recognize him with the schnauzer cut, plus it changed his color. He was greyish black when he left and tan when he returned, at first I didn't think it was him.
After twice to the groomer we finally bought clippers and trimmed him ourselves cause we wanted him a lil more shaggy and puppy looking,
schnauzer cuts are just a bit to stately for us!! lol

Hunter is sure a cutie and looks like you are enjoying him. So glad you enjoyed your nice Hawaaian vacation. Hope you are back in the swing of things.
    Belated Happy Mother's day too.
    Blessings, Nellie

  10. Hunter looks positively adorable in his cute new cut!!! I bought all the expensive equipment and attempted to do the grooming myself. It was not good. I just don't have whatever it takes to me the girlz look good! I trim them a little from time to time. But it is $100 each time we take them. Chloe gets VERY anxious and nervous....I'm afraid she'll have a heart attack! Fortunately, our groomer is just down the street also. Have a great weekend and hugs to little Hunter!!

  12. I love Hunter's cut ... I suspect that you will be able to figure out how to keep him trimmed up nice. We'd take our golden retriever in for a summer cut (just a trim and thinning to help keep her a little cooler in the summer), and she'd always crash when she got home. Must be stressful to go to the groomer. ;-)

What fun - at the park with the grands. Hope you get in plenty of park days this summer!
