Happy Friday

Good morning friends, Well I've already done my exercise class today and walked between 2-3 miles but let me tell you that getting back into shape is tough work!  I think a 5 lb bag of sugar has planted itself on each thigh; I just can't understand how my thighs could get so bad/fat in six months.  I'll make sure, once I'm in better shape, to stay that way and not quit on the exercise-although it is difficult to ride a bike or walk here during the winter, but that is what the gym is for.  Anyway, all sweets are out of the house and I'm determined to lose the weight I put on in the last few months.  It isn't easy though, that's for sure.
This weekend will be busy for us as tomorrow morning we have all 9 grands here first thing-7:20 a.m. so that the parents can go to a homeschool book sale.  Then tomorrow evening we celebrate our oldest grandson's birthday, he will be 11.  His momma recently told him that he couldn't get any older, he just needed to stop and stay where he was-I so remember those feelings.
Our weather here is supposed to be in the 60's again so I'm hoping hubby and I get out to ride six miles each day for the coming week.  If any of you are in need of extra fluff, just let me know and I'll gladly give you mine.
Toodles,  Noreen

  1. I remember those feelings, too, Noreen, and still feel that way about my grandkids. Wish I could just capture them at "that moment" and keep them that way forever.

I have not had any sugar or flower since last July 18th. I feel so much better and have lost the weight I needed to lose. You go, girl! xo Diana

  4. It's going to be in the 70's next week ... which might be warm enough for me to get out and ride. :-)

Enjoy your morning with the grands ... and the birthday party tomorrow evening. Sounds like a perfect day ... but a day with the grands is always a perfect day, isn't it?

    Enjoy your weekend!

  7. I gave my son the choice of stopping at 5 or getting older - he said older! He now says he wants to rethink that! And the fluff - no thanks, I have enough of my own!

  8. Dear Noreen...enjoyed hearing about the happenings from your home. It sounds like your exercise routine is working well. With 9 "grands"...that will be good exercise in itself. How fun and such a joy! Our weather is so pretty here as well. Thank you for the "fluff" offer, but no thank you...I have enough of my own! Hope that your weekend is a lovely one! Hugs ♥ Teri

  9. Noreen I just stopped eating anything with sugar and salt in it and the weight just started to SLOWLY come off! Slowly !!! The older you get the harder it is to lose weight b/c the body wants to have that weight for when you get sick and will need that weight!!
Good for you!!! The older you get the better care of yourself you have to take!!!!!!!! Or your sick!!!

  13. You go girl! I so wish you were my neighbor so we could workout, walk, talk and share our sweet grands with one another! :)

Some of my friends decided we need to start going @7 in the mornings instead of 8:30...UGH! I am NOT a morning person to begin with LOL so it will be interesting to see how this goes :)

I hope you got some good weather this weekend. Saturday was gorgeous here but the rain clouds rolled in late in the evening and we got tons of rain through out the night and most of Sunday. It was warm though so I am definitely not complaining!

Hope your week is blessed! Love you!
