What An Adventure

We are home after a wonderful trip to Alaska.  I will try and begin looking at photos to share today, but for now my body is still on Alaskan time-two hours earlier and I can't get to sleep.  We came home to a severe hail storm, complete with ping pong size hail and some damage to our home.  Thankfully, the one window that broke is double paned and it lost the outside pane-with no water coming inside.  There is damage that we will access later today, in order to call the insurance company on Monday.  Our family wanted to know what we loved best and it is so hard to pinpoint-for me I think I loved the beauty of Alaska the most. We had incredible weather with only one morning of rain.  Generally it was in the 70-80's and we were only bothered by mosquitoes on one outing.  This was our second cruise and by far superior to our first one.  The food was incredible and the staff made a conscious effort to accommodate my need for gluten free meals.  We met many couples that have taken the trip two and three times; it seems that if you live in Vancouver, B.C. you take the inland passage trip on a regular basis.    There were a couple of excursions that we should have taken and hopefully if we do this trip again, we will make sure we take them.  Being with our best friends made the trip all the more fun!  Love you Jim and Barb!  It was different not being able to communicate with our family or get onto the web to read blogs but it also made me focus on the trip.
I want to thank my dear sweet hubby for taking me on this wonderful journey-what memories we made.  I loved everything about the land tour and the cruise; I can't wait to share it all with you(o.k. maybe not the entire 400+ photos)but the highlights.
Joy to you!
