Fall Craft
Happy Thursday to you friends. Many of you follow Pinterest and will recognize this craft; our monthly craft group got together yesterday and painted wine glasses, I still don't have the candle for the top but you get the idea.
I am not the most creative person when it comes to crafts but I can follow a photo or friends example. The glasses cost $1.00 each at the Dollar Store and another gal went to GW and bought a dozen-she will be having fun painting them. I choose to do only three because I have so many Harvest decorations and the last time I gave one of my crafts to a friend, well she wasn't as pleased as I thought she'd be.
Hunter goes to the groomers today and Lily comes here for the weekend. He will be in heaven with her here.
It is cooler than normal here this morning and it feels like summer is leaving quickly. In the background I can hear the roofers in the neighborhood; everyone here needs a new roof, including us. I'm not sure how quickly we will get it on, but probably in the next couple of weeks.

Good morning! I think those are just darling! Love getting together and crafting with others, though I haven't done it in a while. It's funny, I think about that sometimes. I make something to give away and then wonder to myself if they even really want it anyway, haha. Kind of what I am thinking on my Christmas runners right now. But I am pressing on anyway. Wish I saw a change in our weather but not yet. Enjoy your day Noreen!

ReplyDeleteGlad you have some cooler days. We had those for awhile and now we are back to hot and icky. No relief in sight, so when fall does get here, I think we will all be a bit happy about it! Have a good day!
HA! Those are so cute! I have so many wine glasses from when we used to entertain massive amounts of people - this could be fun! (We rarely drink wine!)

I don't do much on Pinterest so I haven't seen these before. They are really cute and I think you did a GREAT job on them. What fun to get together in a group like that- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice fall decoration. I haven't done group crafting since my children were little (100 years ago) and I did it to get a night out with the other moms.

I'm the same way you are when it comes to crafts--I can follow someone else's idea, but I cannot think of one on my own! But I really LOVE what you've done with the glasses! I think it's fun and original, I'd love to have one or two! :-)
