Happy Friday to you! What crazy weather our state has been having; our country as well. This morning it feels like we are shifting into fall weather. In addition, one of hubby's friends was in Alaska(same ports & towns) a week or so before us and he got really bad weather. I know that the warm weather contributed to how much we loved the state. Skagway was an old mining town and there were museums and signs throughout the town highlighting historical sights.
I would like to introduce you to Skagway; please join me on a stroll of downtown.
This train is one of the workhorses of the area, from 1891; the snow blower on the front was necessary in the winter.
What kind of a trip would it be if I didn't hit every Quilt store? Actually, hubby took several photos of quilts he liked; I didn't buy any at this store, but did come home with a wall hanging and a quilt pattern for winter.
Next week I will share Juneau and Ketchikan with you. I hope you've had fun touring with me.
May your day be filled with lots of love.
Blessings,
Noreen & Hunter

I, too, am loving the tour!!! What a fun town. I've read several novels with Alaska as the setting, so it fun to have something to "see".

My youngest sister and my dad took an Alaskan cruise 4-5 years ago, and he still talks about how much they enjoyed Skagway.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're hitting all the quilt shops! Maybe you'll share a picture of the wall hanging and quilt pattern? And maybe your hubby's pictures of the quilts he liked?
Thanks for escorting us on this tour!
What a delight your pictures of Alaska are! Thanks for sharing them! (I've been off the blogs for over a week now, and this was wonderful to come back to!)
