Happy June to you. Where have the months gone? Each day seems to fly by and the weeks are going equally as fast. I always love June because it is the start of summer, both warm weather and fun activities.
Unfortunately here in Colorado June also ushers in the migration of Miller Moths. Miller Moths are huge moths that neither eat cloths, food or lay eggs but just big and pesty. They frighten little girls and big girls as well. If you leave a door or screen open you will be inundated with them. Thankfully they are on the move to the mountains and will only pester us for a couple of months.
Today we are supposed to have weather in the high 80's but we are having high clouds today so I'm not sure we will warm up as high as predicted. We had hoped to go camping next month but due to high flooding from our incredible snow pack, we will be postponing our camping.
I'm not sure what else the summer holds for us but I'm sure it will be fun.
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings, Noreen

Good morning! I wonder if those are the moths that Melody has been telling me about that are soo awful out by her. Though right now it is really the flys that are out of control. I am glad to see June arrive too. Hope you have a good day my friend! HUGS

ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's JUNE~ I'm truly shocked this year has flown by so fast!!!!!!
Best make the MOST of every day while we have time, huh?
God is good!
Sweet Post!

I usually prefer May because it's not quite so hot as it is here in June ... but May was such a wacky weather (furnace running this past Friday and air conditioner running on Monday). So I'm hoping that June will have the warm, sunny weather that I love. So we're both looking forward to June! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your play list, especially the first one up - Blessed Be Your Name. That was the song that T#1 chose to be played after he was baptized a year ago. That was such an incredible and emotional day ... and that song brings back those wonderful memories.
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
I opened the door to the garage the other night and turned on the light....YIKE! the moths had arrived....big time.
ReplyDeleteI loved the picture of the family on the last post...so fun to have so many together (o:
I think you asked about my neighbor....she is still depressed... Sunday was her anniversary so that was really bad. She still rants a lot....but there are more good days. Last night we walked over to Good Times and i bought her a custard as a late BD present. She enjoyed that (o:

Hello Noreen. I'm with you - so happy June is here. Now if I could just find some time I'd plan a vacation of some sorts.
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved the pictures in your last post. So many children!! I love seeing so many little ones with smiles on their faces. Have a beautiful day and God bless.
Happy summer to you, Noreen! Your mention of the pesky bugs reminded me of the carpenter ants I disturbed this weekend, while cleaning out our screen room. Fortunately, bug spray did the trick and it will be a Memorial Day the ants will never forget - or remember, for that matter. They're all dead! Whew! I'm not fond of bugs! Have a great week and God bless!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I dislike millers too. When we lived on the farm they were everywhere. We had a cat that caught and ate them. My husband referred to it as "Miller Time".
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that June is here already! And the summer solstice is only a few weeks away.
ReplyDeleteI remember getting Miller Moths here in the Seattle area when I was young, but we haven't seen them for years. They must have moved to Colorado :)
ReplyDeleteHappy June AGAIN~
ReplyDeleteNow...boy do I want to come with you and your friend. Come get me, OK? I'll be ready!
:)

Those moths sound fascinating! Pity you don't have a photo :) We get some big ones here too - with exquisite patterns.
ReplyDeleteSummer is a time for all sorts of wonderful, things. Amazing creatures appear - glad that snake didn't do any harm. It's winter here now and everything seems to have gone to sleep.
Glad to catch up a bit, Noreen...:)

Couldn't find your e-mail, but I wanted to reply to your comment over at Life Lessons: Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement! It's so good to hear of God's faithfulness to stir growth in hearts who are miles away from me! To Him be the glory! I hope we get to meet in person sometime - you've been a real Barnabas!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the carpenter ants go, yes, some of them did have wings! Yuck! I used some hornet/wasp killer we had. What is the name of the product you used? I'm planning on keeping that area sprayed regularly to prevent any future issues! Have a beautiful week! God bless! :)
I don't believe it, I'll never believe it, that this year is 2011.
