A Symphony In White

Winter has made its way to our area. I love the snow and the beauty of seeing it on trees-it is pristine and takes my breath away. This year our snowfall hasn't been as much as last year but experiencing the beauty of new fallen snow still inspires me. We don't have trees this thick here in northeastern Colorado but I love the look of frost and snow on our trees none the less.
I've heard from a friend in northern Washington that they got 2' of snow before New Year's and it hasn't stopped snowing since. I'm so thankful that I don't have to brave the cold unless I want to and I can sit with a cup of tea and just enjoy the weather. I love living in a state that has four distinct seasons; not that Ca. didn't but our winters are so much more beautiful. Wherever you are today may you find beauty that inspires you.

  1. lovely post Mom! It's amazing how much we have all come to love the snow, isn't it?!? It truly is a beauty that inspires. :)

  2. Noreen,
What a beautiful picture. I'm sure the snow is very lovely! We have to drive to the mountains to see snow. Thank you for sharing. I hope that your back is feeling better.

  3. Noreen,
It is beautiful to see while being warm inside!
    Are you feeling better?
    Miriam :)

  4. When I first saw that picture I thought, "Wait a minute. We don't have that many trees here." Someday you will have to tell me why you all moved this way. We will get together. Waiting for things to settle a bit (o:

  5. What a beautiful picture. I have also been reveling in the snow, and went outside in the DEEPFREEZE of this Canadian prairie winter to snap a few shots of my own. I'm curious to know if the cold that froze my feet will transmit via internet *wink*. But it IS beautiful.

  6. An absolutely beautiful photo!!

We have a good 3 months more of winter so can still get loads of snow :o)

  7. Well, I would like it if it would go away right away! But the stuff is just hanging in here, and getting worse. It melts a little makes a slick top, snows some more, repeats the process...ugh!

  8. How wonderful 'The Gift' song (I clicked on) off your playlist fit with the photo of this post. My husband was in the living room and heard it too. He simply said, "Beautiful". I think that sums it up. It brought an atmosphere of loveliness that seems to echo your writings and personality behind them.

    Blessings to you.
