Good Morning to you! I hope you enjoyed some nice weather, in your neck of the woods, this weekend. Ours was delightful and hubby even wore shorts on Saturday. Now we are back to winter; the storm rolled in last evening with a powerful wind and grey skies(another song). Yesterday, when hubby was golfing he spotted this pair of Bald Eagles. Initially he didn't have our camera but like a good wife, I ran it over to him. By the time he got back to them, the male was circling; previously it had been next to the female. Knowing how I love Eagles, he got these for me. What a fine male eagle this is!
Like any good mate, the female is staying near to the nest.
I loved this silhouette.
Each winter we have lots of Eagles nest near our home, in fact all over our town. Such a powerful and magnificent bird; not to be underestimated though.
Hope you have a great day and that you get home before you know it.
Stay warm today,
Noreen & Hunter

Welcome home. The sight of a bald eagle is one of the most beautiful things ever! Greg and I sat in our boat on the lake, and watched one soar overhead, and we were both in complete awe!
ReplyDeleteBundle up!!

Good morning! You got such good pictures of him. Truly spectacular birds! Enjoy your day Noreen!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photographs. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! You might have heard about the eagles dying around here due to eating food infected with West Nile virus??
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy and Stanley
Those eagles are so fascinating. I would love to see one on the wild

LOVE the 3rd photo :-) We've seen lots of eagles here in the Summer and what a beautiful bird. Happy Monday.
ReplyDeleteWe invite you to check our post today, a book review. Golden Woofs
We get quite a few soaring over us as they are looking for their meal in the fields. forest and river of our valley . Nice shots . Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so disappointing to go from shorts to the cold again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the eagle!
We don't see any of them around here, during the summer maybe. Yep the state of Oklahoma has turned into a freezer to day, nasty after 70 yesterday!

Those are gorgeous birds, Noreen. We have eagles here, too. Matter of fact the place next to is called The Eagles Nest but I, personally, rarely see one. You got some great pictures. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIt would be so exciting to see the Eagles flying around- just like at your house. The photos are beautiful,, and so clear. Mother Natures does share her blessings with us- these Eagles are one of the blessings.

Great photos!! I love eagles and used to see them frequently when we lived in NE California, but never here in the desert of AZ! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! We generally see them at the cottage. These days we are seeing nothing but SNOW and frigid air...in the negatives!! We really need to head south...
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you Noreen! I have been thinking of you. Hugs to Hunter!
Bald Eagles migrate to a portion of the Mississippi River that is only 20-30 minutes from here. I keep thinking that we need to make a trip to see them ... but I never think about it on a day when it isn't FREEZING cold! ;-) So in the meantime, I'll enjoy seeing them vicariously through your photos.
