Hi ya all~I hope your week has been productive and filled with joy! Yesterday, hubby and I made our first trip to the thrift store to drop off boxes and bags of goodies that we no longer need. It really felt good to have the items gone! Today I am hoping to pack more; the sooner the majority of our home is done, the better I'll feel. We also stopped at Bed, *ath and Beyond and bought some new pots and pans. Ours were given to me before we were married; they had a lot of use and one handle was coming off. Now we have a nice, new set for our nice new gas stove at our new house. Of course we are using them now.
Today, I am running to my youngest daughters house this morning-just to spend some time with them, help hold little man if needed and hang out. She was at the market last night and Pineapples were $1.00 each-so she got me one-yeah!
This weekend is a pretty relaxed one.
I hope you have a wonderful day and fun weekend.
Blessings,
Noreen

First of the week was productive, and then the deep freeze moved in, so we are just trying to stay warm. I think I need to make several stops at the thrift, to leave stuff, not buy! ~smile~
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those grandchildren, have a great weekend.
I'm so excited for you and your new home. We bought our current home 7 years ago and it still feels like brand new. I got rid of so many things with moving, it was so freeing. Of course I didn't learn my lesson and have accumulated too much here! Enjoy your weekend and your pineapple.....
ReplyDeleteHi Noreen,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, can't believe we
are almost thru January already.
Where does the time go.
Sounds like you have been having
a declutter party at your house.
I have been in the throw out mood
myself, and have stuff in boxes in the garage that needs to go too.
Sometime soon I will drop them off.
New pot and pans.......that sounds
nice, and a new stove, hope it will make cooking more fun for ya.
Wow you have had them a long time.
You sound like us, we keep things for a longgggggg time. Then when I get the new ones, I sometimes don't like them right at first if they are different than the old thing......so it takes a while for me to like them, isn't that crazy. I am such a creature of habit I guess.........lol
You take care and hope all is well with you and yours hon,
Blessings, Nellie
We went for a run with our pawrents so it is a very good day. Mom loves to get rid of stuffs too. She says it is burdensome.

Murphy & Stanley
Hope you had fun at your daughters. Good for you for new pots and pans AND for clearing out stuff! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that! It's so much work but so worth it in the end to sit back and finally relax.
ReplyDeleteDon't stress....take one day at a time! I'm still not done unpacking all the boxes yet, and we didn't even physically move.
Have a great weekend!
Joel and I love to purge stuff too and head off to Goodwill or thrift stores with it....less clutter makes us happy! Have a good weekend..
ReplyDeleteYou've got my respect...taking stuff to the thrift store. I'm one of those nuts who take stuff out of the thrift store and then end up with too much stuff -grin.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very productive day. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Hey Noreen! I am glad I'm not the only one with pans that I got when I got married--I've been adding to a new set that I just love having and using. But I hope you have a great weekend, and are staying warm!
ReplyDeleteDid not realize you have a new home. Congrats. I know you will love the new cookware, too.
ReplyDeleteAh, it must have felt wonderful to drop off your "stuff" at the thrift store. Someone will enjoy it in the future!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
