Happy Monday to you dear ones.  It is a beautiful day here today; I just got back from a walk with Hunter. The Pelicans are back in numbers; so many and we've never seen the flocks as big as this year. We aren't quite sure why, but it was like the first year we were here(before the tornado).  Yesterday there were hundreds on our little lake and I didn't have my camera or cell phone.  It amazes us; I also wonder if other areas are seeing some different behaviors of birds/wildlife.  This morning I saw a Bald Eagle circling an adjoining neighborhood.
We had a wonderful family bbq yesterday, with everyone-all 16 of us.  Hubby bbq'd chicken and ribs and I made green salad as well as fruit salad and roasted potatoes.  There was french bread and our girls brought dessert.  We had photo albums out for the girls and grands to look at; it was fun seeing photos of their childhood and of hubby's parents.  We talked about plans for the summer  and what we all hope to do, other than camping in the Rockies.
Today is a normal Monday with laundry, helping our youngest out while she runs errands and I'm hoping to drag hubby out on a quick bike ride.  Later this afternoon, there is a chance of showers and thunder storms-tell me no!
I hope you had a great weekend and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Noreen & Hunter

  1. We've got rain for this afternoon, too. After getting 4+ inches over the weekend. Ugh. Hope we both are spared.

Hope you get in that bike ride ... I haven't made it out on my bike yet this spring. Maybe tomorrow.

  2. HI NOreen, I wondered were all our pelicans had gone too. As for the visit to our area by your family, please let me know the kind of things they like to see and I'll send you some inside hints to the best stuff. We love our temple so that is always a recommended site but if they are outdoorsy I can give you a lot of cool sites to see.

  3. Sounds like a great day with family. It has rained all day here which is soo different for us. I enjoyed it. But I didn't enjoy finishing up the root canal. I thought it was done, but it wasn't. It is now though and am I ever glad! Enjoy your week Noreen!

  5. Hey there! You guessed right in my photos, I am not feeling my best. But MOM is trying to get me through it. As for the pelicans, we have a whole lot over here too. I don't think I have seen this mean either. But it is very cool. I have to admit, MOM and I love love thunder and lightning. It does not bother me at all. Have a great evening. Nose poke to my pal Hunter.
    Blessings,

  8. Hi Noreen, I am just trying to get organized as I have a ton of unpacking to do and after breaking my thumb, is has certainly impacted my ability to do things as quickly as I would like to. Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family. Good for you! Hugs to both you and Hunter! xo Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug

  9. The bbq sounds delicious. We are tired of the rain, too. We need a little sun to cut down the weeds in the yard!!! Hope you and Hunter have a great day. Love, Mildred
