From My Library

My daughter lent me this book she recently read.  I would highly recommend it to you; it is an easy read that shares the story of Joanne Shelter and her work with the Balangao people in the Philippines.  Joanne was a simple farm girl who became a bible translator and served these people  for many years and her testimony of the Lord's power is inspiring.  It reminding me of Jim and Elizabeth Elliott and their work with the Aucas.
This can be found at Amazon.
Enjoy!  Noreen

  1. Sounds great. My daughter would like it. She finds good mission books. She actually made a Mission trip to the Philippines.

  2. Thanks for the suggestion. This looks great. We are going to Arizona for a wedding this week-end but when we get back I think I will look into this book for sure.

Hope all is well with you!! Hope that cough is now a thing of the past.

    HUGS!

  3. Thanks Noreen! I just finished Hinds' Feet for High Places (Hannah Hubbard) and it was sooo good too! This one sounds like a keeper too! :) Also, I wanted to say thank you for your sweet comment on my blog today. :) And I will be praying for you re: a new DR. Actually, I'm in the same boat with my kids. Their DR's are no longer accepting our insurance, for whatever reason. . .and that means we won't be able to take them to the Children's Hospital, because their dr's practice there too. Scary. . .So I will be praying for YOU as well as our situation too. :)
Sending lots of love and hugs,

  6. Hi Noreen:

Long time no 'see'! So good to check in on you and find that you are doing just fine. The book looks like a good one. There is so much available to us right now, and so much to be gained from the reading, and yet... The Word remains the only truth we have ever needed. Isn't that a miracle!
