Oh A Painting We Will Do

Before I show you what we are doing to our house, I thought I'd show you how nicely my flowers have filled in, even though it is the end of the season.
Aside from so many mosquito's taking up residence in these flowers, I just love to look at them, water them and enjoy them. We've got so many cosmos coming up and I'm already starting to harvest seeds for next year.

Before-the paint doesn't look so bad but believe me it is really needing it. Hopefully, we will get the entire house painting before winter hits.

This is how much hubby got done yesterday. I was the paint girl-taking paint up to him, trading rollers and brushes as needed. We got about 4 hours done before the heat got to be too much.
Today one of our grands is hosting a tea-party at our oldest daughter's home. How fun this will be, I'll be sure to take pics.
Remember, we're never sure how much time on earth we have to live life to the fullest and love others as if there is no tomorrow.
Hugs, Noreen

  3. Good Morning Noreen Sweetie...
Beautiful post this morning. I so enjoy the garden share. I would love to have some of your cosmo seeds. I would be curious to know if they would grow year round here in Phoenix. An experiment perhaps?

The house looks so beautiful. DH and you have been very busy. That is quite a bit to get done in one day. Up and down that ladder is tiring, I know Daddy just painted their house and he told me his legs are still hurting and he finished 2 weeks ago.

You have a beautiful home sweetie. It is just beautiful. Love the paint color also.

Have a gorgeous day. Can't wait to see tea party photos. What fun?

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

  4. What a beautiful home. It always feels so good to get the painting done. At least your fence looks like vinyl and won't need to be painted! The flowers are gorgeous. How sad to think the season is nearing the end. We tend to get our first freeze anytime around Labor Day.

  6. Dear Noreen, your flowers are just beautiful! Your home is too! My, my, y'all got a lot accomplished! As they say, "Many hands make light work." (or "sumthin'" like that.) :)
Remember, coming from someone who has had her "belly full" of extreme make-over jobs, "this (painting) too shall pass." You're absolutely right to enjoy your time with family and have a great day! :)

  8. Hi Nor! Your flowers are sooo pretty! I know they make your heart smile!

Painting your house is no small task, huh? So far so good! The heat is a pain with extended time outdoors like that. Just make sure you both take breaks and drink, drink, drink!! I remember how easy it is to dehydrate out there!!

    Love you bunches!!
