Happy Friday to you! Fall is definitely in the air~last night at our last concert of the season the twilight came just a tad earlier and this morning it is cooler than usual. It should make a nicer day for painting. Tonight, the whole kit and caboodle(girls & their families)come over for a bbq; I am calling it the end of summer bbq. When our girls attended public school, prior to homeschooling them, I was the mom who hated the end of summer. I've never quite understood those who jump for joy when school starts again. We always had such wonderful times together and still do and I guess it meant we'd have less time with each other. When we were homeschooling, I did enjoy the new year, new books, new subjects and of course the time that was a bit more disciplined.
Today I try my best to enjoy each and every day I'm given, regardless of the circumstances because there are always others who have so much less or have trials that I can't begin to imagine.
Whatever you are doing today and this weekend remember to embrace life, for it is over so quickly.
Blessings, Noreen

Thanks for sharing your heart dear one.
ReplyDeleteI don't like seeing summer end but our daughter (the last one at home...) is looking forward to the beginning of her senior yr of high school. What a milestone. She's preparing for college and my heart is full.
One season closes and another begins and so is life.
I love you dear one and praying for you and yours!!!
Oh mercy me...I was one of those moms you could never understand! I loved having my kids home for summer fun, but I loved it when they went back to school too!!! In fact, every year when they returned, I had a "hooray, the kids are back in school" luncheon for my girlfriends! I guess now I will have to modify that for my grandkids. My grandson Noah began preschool yesterday! He will be going 4 days a week, for 2 1/2 hrs each day. Whatever shall I do with myself?????? Happy Friday to you Noreen. And in answer to your question regarding Greg, he is slowly getting better. But it has been 3 mo. now, and there is not enough improvement! We remain hopeful though.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning ~ I was DEFINITELY the mom who hated the end of summer. I LOVED it too. Especially when it had wound down to just my daughter at home...the summer would scream by and she'd go back to school and time raced away. I feel the same way...hold on to those moments as you really do blink and they are grown and gone. I am watching my grands grow up just as fast. Have a wonderful week-end Noreen and happy painting. Don't feel fall here btw, haha..,.HUGS
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!! please Don't say summer is almost over. For some reason I've really enjoyed this summer. Were going back to homeschooling soon. Have a fun BBQ. I think my husband is BBQ hamburgers tonight.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I love you so much my sweet friend. Your smiling face on your side bar with your hubby makes me smile and your warm and caring heart in each post zaps me into instant joy!
ReplyDeleteBoth of my husband's brothers and their wives are here until Monday. The big BBQ time for all of us is tomorrow. Ron is still quite weak, etc. but this has been a good time for him with his brothers.
Snap that camera of your time this weekend as I will be doing the same. I hope your weekend is full of love and joy Noreen, how could it not when you are in the center of it all!
Love you,
Alleluiabelle
Granted I haven't really gotten to that point yet since Leif is just starting kindergarten this year, but I haven't understood the whole "yay they are back at school" thing either! I may be singing a different tune in a few years...
ReplyDeleteOur summers go by so fast already, I want to treasure that time. I can't believe we are mid-August already.
Oh Noreen....I completely agree with you! I HATE my kids going back to school and not being able to spend the day with them! I cherish each and everyday. So many times moms are practically cheering for the return of school and I don't get it!!
ReplyDeleteHave missed visiting you! Going to catch up on all your posts! Happy Friday my sweet friend!
Amazing how similar our weather can be.
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about school starting. I love spending time with my son, but goodness, he has some energy!
Bless you this weekend....Denise
Awwww...Fall, it's so lovely in the Ozarks...God's mighty paintbrush at work. My children are adults but I cherish every moment I share with them. Happy Friday and happy painting. K
