Fort Fun

When the grands have a sleep-over at Papa & Nana's, Papa transforms the family room into Fort Fun. This weekend was no exception; in fact this was the best fort ever. In enter you had to crawl through a tunnel and yes both Papa and Nana did this numerous times.
One of the best things is that all the kiddos were able to watch movies at their level; The Trumpeter Swan movie wasn't quite the same as the book but all enjoyed it. I didn't read this when I was younger but apparently the book is quite a bit better.

Little ones held in rapt attention.

Only four spent the night and maybe next time we can add our Peanut to the group as she was missed. Breakfast was yummy and we played several games before parents came to pick up.
This was the nicest sleep-over we've had and I hope to do it again before school officially starts.
This week hubby will be up on the ladder and I'll be on the ground assisting him with paint. We are hoping to work in the mornings before it is too hot and also before the afternoon storms roll in.
Have a fabulous day dear ones.
Noreen

  2. Good Morning Noreen Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. I love that PaPa made this beautiful tent for the grands and you all to share. What fun tents were as a kid. Crawling in and crawling back out. This is so precious.

I love the photo of them lined up on the couch, so involved in their movie. That one is priceless. Ofcourse who could resist cooking breakfast for a group of little faces like those? They look so sweet. Hopefully next time your little Peanut can be there too.

Be careful out in the heat painting. It has been so hot and muggy everywhere this Summer. There is no relief in site anytime soon either. Anyway not for us here in Phoenix.

Have a beautiful Monday sweet friend. Thank you for sharing with me. I so enjoyed my visit.

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

  3. I love you my sweet sweet sweet friend and I so love this idea! What beautiful pictures. Aren't grandchildren the absolute best? They bring instant joy. Your fort is EXCELLENT...ours pales in comparison to yours, but you have given me ideas!

My life has been consumed with my beloved's hospital stay and I want you to know that you are ALWAYS on my mind and in my heart. My prayers have been and continue to go up up up to our Father in all ways. Thank you for your kind words and prayer support for us.

I will try to e-mail you tonight...

  5. Isn't it so interesting how kids left to their own devices can come up with such fun? I remember my brother and I begging our mother to let us sleep outside in the summer. We had a pup tent and brought our pillow and blanket outside and what fun. You are a fun nana, that's for sure.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

Happy painting! Don't know that it's such a good idea in this heat!

I appreciate your visit to the bridge. It was nice to see you today. Stay strong in the Lord. Those grand kids are as blessed as you are. God knew what He was doing when He put you and yours together.

    Praising Jesus for family.
