HAPPY FRIDAY

Look at what a wonderful gift my hubby got for me this week. I have wanted an old school desk for the last 18 yrs but we never found the right one. Last Sunday hubby spotted this child's desk on Craig's List so we went and looked at it. It actually came from an old school here in Colorado and has floor boards attached to it. Apparently the school was from the late 1800's and although this isn't that old, it is in good condition. Now I will be on the lookout for some old children's books to put on the top. Not only was it a blessing to find it but the price was so low that we could hardly think twice about it.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

  2. Noreen, what a blessing from your dh! The wood looks so pretty and a rich color.
Perhaps a small wooden apple to sit on top of the old children's books( maybe you can find an old leather belt of a small woman's or child's to wrap around them). If you find a rare old books store or thrift shop, then you might find some books from near that time frame. Just little suggestions :)
