Happy Monday to you! We are experiencing what seems to be an early fall here in Northern Colorado. It rained on and off all weekend and even though it is our Monsoon season, it just feels different. Yesterday afternoon I walked with my walking partner, we had a light mist throughout our walk and this morning we walked and it was cold, but quite nice. Apparently it poured through the night.
On our walk, we always pass this home and the gal decorates their porch for each month or season. I love it and have often thought I should hire her to decorate our back covered deck.
Love the sign; I haven't ever seen this porch without decorations-she has a wonderful eye.
This is our neighborhood pool and the flowers outside of it are gorgeous.
This afternoon I am going to our County Quilt Guild meeting to hear an Antique Quilt Appraiser share and show us some of her antique quilts. I have to take a table runner to share that I made at a class in May and I decided to take our antique quilt that hubby's grandmother made back in the late 20's-early 30's. I've often wanted to get it appraised, but won't be doing that today. I just thought it would be fun to share. It is in incredible condition, because for 40+ years it was just the top and stored in a box. After a cousin in Tennessee quilted it, it remained folded out of the way-until I got it. It now hangs proudly in the hall outside my quilting/sewing room. No sun has touched it and it is pristine. I love it so much! A true treasure.
Our week is supposed to be dreary and wet and next week is more of the same. I'll be busy enjoying the last bit of summer with my girls and grands and also finishing some binding on a table runner.
I hope you have a fantastic day today!
Joy to you!
