Happy Wednesday

Hi All, I hope your day has started out well and that you are enjoying life!  I went to the gym first thing this morning for an exercise class and then came home and walked with Kam.  Now, I'm headed to my youngest girls house to hang out; I may talk her into going to a couple of quilts stores in town that are having a Leap Year sale.  It is beautiful here today and in the high 40's-not too bad.
Although I was sore yesterday, I feel good about the gym; I'm one of those people that do better if I'm paying for it-be it Weight Watchers or a gym.  If I'm left to exercise on my own, it probably won't happen.  What about you?  Do you find, when you are held accountable to someone, it easier to follow through or are you naturally disciplined with exercise?
Blessings, Noreen

  1. My MOM belongs to two gyms. She has been going to one gym with her friend Jenni for a few years. They go in the late afternoon. But if MOM has commitments in the afternoon then she goes to a different gym that is closer to our house before she goes to work. Yes it is better and easier if MOM have a friend to workout with.

  3. I do better when I am accountable and I try to be accountable to myself..but I am my own worst critic and harder on myself than anyone else would be. The best thing I am doing for myself right now is no sugar and no flour (since last July 18th). It has been life altering for me. xo Diana

  4. Accountability is probably good for most of us. That or the right motivation. I've been pondering on the truth that my body is a temple of God's. Praying for God to work that into my spirit. Happy Leap day to you!

  5. I struggle with accountability. I need it and desire it. It helps me stay in the Bible when I attend a study and the class expects me to have read and thought about the passage. I floss my teeth 99.5% of the time...just wish I could stick with dieting and exercise. {sigh}

  6. I'm self motivated and walk often in our local park with my ipod and walking program, but I have a guest pass and hubby loves it when I go to the gym with him. He's been coaching me on a few machines and my back is improving greatly.

  8. I totally agree, accountability with a friend on going to the gym or healthy eating is so much more fun and so much easier to be good! :-)

  9. You know I used to be a gym person but I found that when I didn't make it to the gym, I didn't do anything. Now that I'm working out at home withe Wii Active 2 I do it just about every day. My hubby even does it with me which helps hold me accountable. I've lost more weight and toned up more these last few months than any time I spent at the gym. Weird huh? I guess it stems on my whole not wanting to have to leave the house. LOL!
    Have a great day and keep up the good work.
