A Good Read

A girlfriend from California recently sent me a package that contained this book as well as the dvd Fireproof; this was such a surprise because I hadn't been in communication with her for quite awhile.  This is a quick and easy read but it took me several days due to other projects.  Several years ago I had read Don Piper's book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, and found it so comforting too.  This story occurs in Nebraska but also  covers Denver and several towns within 15 minutes of my house.  Although it is written for adults, I do think that in certain situations this would comfort children who are gravely ill.  If you get a chance, make sure you get your hands on it.
I worked in the yard yesterday and enjoyed the beautiful spring weather but today is raining so I'm grabbing hubby to go to Kohl's for their senior sale.

    I have marked this book to read at some point. I am not sure where I recently saw it referenced, maybe it was on your blog? Anyways, it looks like a fascinating read and it is on my list. Glad to read another good review of it!

    I read this book in an afternoon recently, and you are soo right. A quick, wonderful read! I feel like it was really convincing too as it is soo from a child's innocent point of view. I have a copy laying on the nightstand waiting for my Melly to read when she gets here tonight. : ) Have a wonderful day Noreen! HUGS

    I read this book in a day. Wow, I talked about it this morning in our Bible study. Would love to sit with you over the kitchen table and chat over the fascinating experience of this little boy. Hugging you. Raining her too.

    Yes we are enjoying our strawberries so very much!! We are going to have a big garden this year. When you grow your own food you just have to know there is a God!!!!!!!

    I got that book last week from my book club, but let a girlfriend read it first. It does look real good. When I get it back from her, I will read it. Glad you enjoyed it. I worked out in my yard some tonight too. Pulling weeds!!! Have a great weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
