Happy Friday

Hi All~ There has been so much going on in the world this week that simply makes me stop and ponder.  Firstly, the devastating tornadoes that have destroyed much of the midwest and south and of course David Wilkerson's sudden death.  For those who aren't familiar with his name, he wrote The Cross and the Switchblade and was pastor of the Times Square Church.  He worked with gang members and the Lord used him mightily.  May the peace and grace of the Lord be upon his family and church.  Many prayers continue to be lifted heavenly for those who have suffered loss from the tornadoes.
Today, as usual, I am heading out with my friend to check out local garage sales.  My daughters and I had one planned for tomorrow but due to snow in the forecast we have postponed it.  Later on this morning the girls & theirs will come over and we will head to a local farm in a neighboring town to see all the baby animals.
Whatever you do this day, do it heartily; we never know when our days will be up.
Weekend blessings, Noreen

  1. More snow is coming? Oh my! Yes, the tragic tornados, just awful. I am sitting here watching the highlights of the royal wedding. Looking forward to a nice weekend.

  2. Garage sales are always interesting :-)

  3. It really has been a wild week and I join you for sure in those prayers...Sounds like you have a fun day planned...ENJOY every moment!and

  4. I have been spending more and more time praying lately for all the people affected by the devastation around us. These are certainly troubled times.

    Have fun with the girls.

  5. i didn't know about David Wilkerson - so many awful things going on.

praying for you and your family!

  6. Love the doggie in glasses (o:
We have NO glad, because I have the girls this weekend.
Yes, it is so crazy about the weather...praying for all those people. So sad.

  7. I was so saddened by the tragic & sudden loss of David Wilkerson myself. He'll be missed!

It has been a mixed bag of a week, hasn't it? I must confess: I loved the segue the Royal Wedding created. A bit of fairy tale in the midst of a terribly disturbed world.

  8. I have been away to Paducah, and the threat of flooding was very real. But thankfully the Quilt show went on without delay or cancellation. I did not know about David's passing. Thanks for sharing that bit of news.
