When we first moved to Colorado people would tell us that if we didn't like the weather to wait 15 minutes and it would probably change. Spring is like that here~this week we had sunny days in the 70's-which I love but then yesterday was cloudy and cold. We ran to one daughters house and it started to sprinkle, by the time we got to the other daughters house we had rain/slush that quickly turned to snow. We do need the rain but snow-really? It snowed for several hours but finally melted. Our weatherman says that it will be like this all month-one day absolutely gorgeous and the next cold and yucky. I'm reminded that this is why folks don't plant here until Mother's Day weekend.
Our weekend was fun; our friends came for dinner and we fixed bbq Salmon, Potatoes with sour cream and chives and a Spinach salad with roasted vegetables. For dessert I served fresh pineapple with rainbow sherbert. We played Qwirkle and then played Shanghai-a card game.
Today I'm off to get my hair cut and touched up, babysit three little granddaughters and work on my study of Jonah. I'm holding on to the forecast for tomorrow-high 70's.
Whatever your day holds dear ones, live life to the fullest!
Hugs, Noreen

I think I can beat you on the wacky weather. Yesterday it was 91 and humid. Today we may be lucky if we hit 50. I had a neighbor, the cutest little old lady and she said, "NEVER PLANT BEFORE May 1st"....and I think she thought that could be early. SO HARD when you're ready for Spring. Enjoy your day...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend, and a nice day ahead! Enjoy!

ReplyDeletehave a great day at the salon - you deserve it!
Weather here in western NC has been schizophrenic as well. Much warmer than usual changing to much cooler than usual. We're expecting a major front tonight with rapidly dropping temperatures and severe thunderstorms with rain and hail. Weird and wacky indeed.
