Wildlife and Outdoor Wednesday

Hello again, This morning hubby and I took a drive out the Poudre Canyon, north of Fort Collins. It is one of our favorite drives, especially in the fall. Unfortunately for us, the colors are pretty much past their peak; it was a beautiful drive though. Here are a few sights.
                                                          Poudre Falls

This herd of Bighorn Sheep came running out in the road in front of us; I couldn't get my phone out quick enough, so hubby grabbed his.  They were running a quite a fast pace-I'm sure trying to get down to the foliage.  However, just as they veered off, they turned back again and headed to the other side.

They were beautiful!  They just stopped where they were and watched us~we figured it was time to let them get on with their grazing.  Lots of traffic on the road, so hopefully everyone was watching for wildlife. There was a slight breeze which made it so delightful.
Such a nice drive!  Hope you have a great afternoon!

Happy Outdoor Wednesday,  I was supposed to walk at 7:30, but my girlfriend texted saying that at 39 degrees, it is a bit cool and could we walk at 8:00 instead-works for me.  The hot days of summer have waned and fall is truly here. We had two days and nights filled with heavy winds and the mountains even got a dusting of snow yesterday. Other than walking, there isn't much on the agenda today.  I've really got to get a start on some Christmas projects!
I hope your day is filled with blessings from the Lord!
Joy to you.

Party Time

Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week has started out on a good note. Yesterday was busy with errands and grocery shopping~which meant I never got here to post, seems to be a habit lately. On Saturday our whole crew got together to celebrate Little Man's 6th birthday and Miss D's 10th birthday.

This next several shots are priceless because Little Man has his arm around his cousin/aka best friend Miss E.  They are two of the cutest kiddos together!  See how her hand it reaching up to cover his-he is also her protector.
You can't tell here, but his arm has dropped from her shoulder to her waist~oh my what sweet cousins they are.
Cousin Mr. B is hold Little Man up so he can get a better view of the candles. Miss S looks on; Miss D is quite impressed with the cake her dad made(she gets her baking skill from her dad).
It was a wonderful evening, filled with good food, laughter, love and joy.
These grands are growing up so quickly. Love each and every moment with them.  This morning I had my three neighbor gals over for breakfast and we had a great time.  After doing all the cleanup I hit the gym; once again trying to get back to my regular routine.  This afternoon I'm picking up Miss S to take her to help me get a present for her cousin Miss F-who turns 13 on Sunday.

Blessings to you today!

Vetriscience Derma Strength Chews review

Happy Thursday to you all. Today as a #chewyinfluencer, I am reviewing this supplement I ordered from Chewy. com for Hunter.

  •   Supports healthy skin structure and integrity, plus coat shine, health and luster
  • Formulated with Omegas 3, 6, and 9 to promote healthy skin, normal shedding, and a healthier more lustrous coat
  • Salmon oil and vitamin E help alleviate discomfort from dry or itchy skin while supporting the immune system
  • These treats are also fortified with antioxidants and essential fatty acids for optimal health benefits
  • Palatable vegetable flavored chews are perfect for all weight ranges and everyday health
We love the soft chewy texture and the size is perfect. Sometimes I put it in his dish with his kibble and other times I coat it with a little Peanut Butter. I'm really hoping it helps his allergies and scratching.  While not bad, I do not want them to get out of hand.  I'm also hoping that it will help his tear staining.

Happy Thursday to you all.  We had an incredible rain storm here yesterday afternoon and although we all need the rain, it was so heavy and visibility so bad that I couldn't wait to get home.  Many areas got hail and there were areas that the roads were flooded.
Today Hunter and I walked about 2.5 miles with Kam and Riley, it was cool and refreshing out.
We are going out to lunch with our daughter's inlaws; we go out once a month with them.  Tomorrow I head to Quilt Affair in Longmont and need to get some fabric for various projects; I'm going with three quilting friends and it should be so fun.
Hope you have a great day and count your blessings.

It's Outdoor Wednesday and even though I'd love being in the mountains, my early walk with my neighbors will have to suffice.  I love having others to go start the morning with and to talk about what's happening in our lives.  I'm really hoping to get to the gym as soon as I'm done walking-it's been difficult to get back into my routine since we got back from vacation.  I have only made it twice a week, but I'm really planning on getting back to a third day.    Last Wednesday,  we saw this beautiful Monarch, unfortunately it was injured and I'm not sure if it could fly.  I love Monarchs and we don't see them very often here, so it was a special treat.  This afternoon I hope to spend more time in my sewing room and organize myself for making Christmas presents for friends.
I hope you have a fantastic day today and rejoice in the beauty of creation!

Stella & Chewy's Wild Weenies treat review

Hello, As a #chewyifluencer we receive a item to try each month; sometimes we are able to try two different items. I have been trying to go raw-either freeze dried or frozen with Hunter to see if anything can help eliminate his red tear stains. He loves these treats.

Hunter really enjoys them. What I love about them is:
  • Freeze-dried treats are crafted with beef, goat and lamb and contain 97% muscle meat and organ meat for a high-protein treat dogs love.
  • Pack real raw nutrition and taste to satisfy your pup’s natural craving for meat.
  • Made without added hormones, antibiotics or artificial ingredients.
  • The perfect reward for dogs on a limited ingredient diet.Grain-free, gluten-free and made right here in the USA with ingredients you can trust.
  •
Disclaimer:  We were provided this product free from Chewy.com in exchange for our honest opinion.  Thank  you Chewy for being the best company, providing the best customer service and always wanting the best for our pets.

Arches National Park

Hello and Happy Monday. As you know we stopped a week ago at Arches National Park; it was a destination that we had been wanting to see and it didn't disappoint. We loved the fact that it wasn't overly crowded, maybe due to heat. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Joy to  you this day!

Family 9/2018

Happy Thursday to you! Here are some family shots from the beach at Oceanside. There are several that are similar, but I loved the different expressions on the littles.
An evening run for our grandson.

Needless to say, we came home with great photos for our family wall, as well as for a Christmas Card.
It feels so good to be home again, lots of gardening to catch up on and of course quilting.
Have a joy filled day!
Hugs,
Noreen

Temecula

Happy Wednesday to you. One of the days we were in Southern California, hubby and I decided to head to Temecula. He had tasted some wine from a winery there and wanted to get some, so off we went. Leoness Cellars is a beautiful spot; they had a wonderful gift area, great wine tasting area as well as two restaurants. We could only go in one, since we aren't members. After I bought several gifts and hubby found the wine he was after, we had lunch.
Hubby had a Caesar salad and said it was so good.
I enjoyed this beautiful beet salad; my favorite beet salad is still Dukes in Kauai, but this was good.
After lunch we headed to Temecula Quilt Store and I quickly fell in love with all the Civil War reproduction fabrics.
The quilt on the bottom row caught me eye and I came home with the pattern.  Hubby suggested I get the fabric there, but it called for over 5 yards and I wasn't ready to purchase more than the pattern.

Loved this old bed with all the quilts on it.
The next shop we went to surprised me tremendously!  It was Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop and you would not have believed how big it was!  This photo is of just one area with white/tan and light CW fabrics.
I could have spent hours in here.
We were disappointed in not finding any antiques that really needed to come home with us. Looking back I should have gotten some fabric.  However, I'm not sure when I'll get to the quilt above, so it's just as well.  I was looking for some fabric for a baby quilt I need to make, but nothing spoke to me.
Today hubby and I took Hunter for a walk, then hit the gym and have done some dead heading on my mums-several plants didn't do well while we were away.
I'll be back with some photos of Tide Pools we visited and photos of Arches National Park.
Have a fun day.

Zion National Park

Happy Tuesday to you! We are back home, settled in and back to our normal schedule; it feels so good. The first stop on our trip was Zion National Park; we joined our daughter, Carrie and her family exploring it. What a wonderland it is. This park has been on our list of places to see and so glad we got to visit it. I will say it's very crowded, but glad the park has such a well run system-lots of shuttles and the town is so cute! Would love to go back and stay there for a few days. The photos below were taken by our second grandson with his IPhone, he did such a great job!

Tomorrow I'll share the lunch we had in Temecula, the cute quilt stores and the Tide Pools we went to.
Hope you are having a blessed day!
