Happy Friday

Good morning to you all.  Here in Colorado we are having cold, rainy and somewhat slushy weather; snow is in the forecast for the day and I'm glad I can stay inside.  Hunter is off to the groomer and if he thought it was cold out when I took him this morning, he will be in for a shock when he gets done.
These are the mornings when it feels so good to be retired and able to stay under the covers a bit longer. Last night we were under a freeze warning, so dear hubby threw old sheets over the plants in front; now they are soaking wet and dirty so I put them in the wash.  I would hate to loose our Mums so soon.  My Hydrangea is just starting to bounce back from the hailstorm and I'd hate to loose it again.
The weekend will be quiet; our oldest girl and her hubby are going out to dinner tomorrow night, so five of her six will be with us for the evening.  Last night we had our youngest daughter's four over and it never ceases to amaze me at how calm they can be until their parents get back-then it is pure craziness.  I remember experiencing the same thing when we'd leave our two with family or friends, only to come back and have them act up. Whoever had watched them always told us they were great until we came back-must be a kid thing.
I hope you have a wonderful day today and an excellent weekend!
Lots of love,
Noreen

  3. Hard to imagine your cold weather so early. We were in the mid 80's today. Almost too hot to work in the yard! I know Hunter looks so sweet after his appt. Hope you all have a very nice weekend.

  4. I'm glad it's not just my grands who pull that acting up routine right before mama and daddy come to get them. ;-)

We've got rain coming which will bring cooler weather - but no snow. Is that early - sure seems like it.

  5. It is cold here too. Tomorrow morning we are going with our friends at church on a 5 mile walkie. So we did not run today cuz mom thought it might be too much. Did Hunter get a taco today?

  7. We have been unseasonably warm for Michigan. We are just now getting cooler temps with rain. I can't believe my garden is still going! Usually it is done long before now. :)

Enjoy your weekend with the grandkids!

  8. I didn't realise that you had started with the freezing weather. It's so annoying, isn't it, when there is plenty of life left in the plants! My you seem to be having a lot of grandparents' time recently. I think that it is so true....the kids do play up when their parents return. Probably getting back at them for leaving them?! Joan

  9. Hi Noreen! We are having very strange weather....it is supposed to be in the 80's...unheard of in upstate NY!! Does Hunter get all stressed out when he goes to the groomer? The girlz are NOT good about it at all. Chloe almost gives herself a heart attack. It doesn't even matter which groomer...they have known her for years! They just do not like to be away from me. But, the groomer told me that it is like leaving a child at daycare. As soon as the parent leaves, the dog is fine! I am not so sure as they both come home tired and sleep for about a day! Happy Weekend and hugs to Hunter!

  10. Hi Noreen. It has been nice to need to add that extra blanket to the bed, and cozy up on the sofa with a quilt! I know that "our" cold does not compare to where you are, but we do get it at the cabin!!!
Enjoy the weekend and your babies!
