Good Morning to you! I'm here to tell you that I've already been on a walk and I am so hot and sweaty, it is only 73 degrees out -just what you wanted to hear. Kam and I decided to stick to just walking today because we both felt the effects of our bike ride yesterday. Kam's knees were bothering her and I was just exhausted from our ride. I do know that we are riding hard and going further ever couple of days but seriously I couldn't believe how the ride and walk zapped all my energy. Not sure if it is because I'm getting older or if it is because of the heat or both. I am hoping that my body gets conditioned quickly because coming home after a ride and veging out for several hours just isn't productive.
Hunter gets his mid-summer cut today-I know he'll feel much better! This week is a bit crazy-tomorrow hubby and I head to Cheyenne so hubby can play a practice round of golf for the Wyoming Pro-Am Open on Thursday. I will stay home Thursday and get everything together for camping on Friday. We won't leave til the afternoon on Friday and in the morning I am supposed to get together with a friend who went on the same cruise, that we are going on, last summer. I'm anxious to see her video; it might give me a better idea on how to pack-in case I'm missing anything.
I didn't get the binding made yesterday but am going to do my best to get it done today. Bout time my little granddaughter gets her baby quilt.
Have a splendid day!
Hugs,
Noreen & Hunter
Merry Christmas!

I'm in awe of you and your exercising. Our oldest was in Denver over the weekend for a concert at Red Rocks. She wasn't sure she wanted to fly home last night. lol. Today we are supposed to be around 100degrees with HIGH humidity. I am in for the day. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIts the humidity! It Zaps quickly. Are you upping your protein? You might want to add a slow burn carb, too, before you take off.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that all that muscle work and sweating releases toxins into your system and you can feel really lousy for a bit after you do something like that? Sometimes after PT, I feel like the flu is coming on, low grade fever and all and then its gone.
Have a fun week, sounds exciting to me. I will have to tell my hubby about your golfing hubby. We haven't played since I went haywire, but we still love it.
You sure stay busy!
ReplyDeleteThe Wyoming Pro-Am sounds very interesting! Your hubby must be quite the golfer! Hope he has a great round!

I am amazed at how the combination of heat and exercise can do me in! I dream of biking some day...for now a 20-30 minute walk is a major accomplishment. Hot and very humid here today...dew points in the 70's. ugh....but this too shall pass. We sure miss our dog Levi. Been gone 5 weeks now.....your Hunter is so cute! Have fun camping.
ReplyDeleteI just now realized that you are in Colorado!! Where have I been LOL!! I was born and raised on the Wyoming/Colorado border at Baggs, Wy, I went to college at CSU in Ft. Collins. But I married a Texas, so we have lived in Texas for 30 years. I do miss "home" once in a while!!
ReplyDeleteDon't over do your exercising! The heat/humidity can really sap you!!
Blessings to hubby and his golf and your trip!!
Thats quite hot for over here :-)
ReplyDeleteHi there - I need so desperately to exercise but the heat here in AZ is just too intense. Hopefully when fall hits,(maybe around November) I can start getting outside again :) Good to find you again!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel rested up soon. We are still having heavy rain/thunder tonight.
ReplyDeleteHi Noreen! Just popping in to say hello! You sure have been very busy lately! Home Goods is a favorite of mine too! Your camping trip sounds fun...hope the weather holds out for you! Hugs to Hunter and to you...hope your ankle is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff Noreen!!!
ReplyDeleteXO Kris
It's amazing how draining hot weather can be. Of course, I blame age for part of that, too.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely got a busy week ahead of you. Good luck on the binding!
Wow you are so busy. Heat is bad but when it is humid that is just the worse and I can understand how you feel.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time on your trip.
