Morning Peeps~I can't believe it is already Wednesday! I wanted to share what we got for Hunter to celebrate his first birthday. He wasn't too excited about the pork bones; not quite sure what that is about.

When driving out to our daughter's house on Saturday we drove past this bar that has been around forever. This place is known for Rocky Mountain Oysters; all I can do is say yuck. I keep thinking we need to have Guy Fieri come and check this place out for his t.v. show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  You know you're in the country when you drive by a bar and there are tons of motorcycles parked in front and a horse tied up in back. I have never gone in it and probably won't. However, we spotted the art as we drove by and it made me think of our friends Michelle and her beloved companion Goose. Now, if you know Michelle you know that she would likely do an outreach here(I think)but I cracked up when I saw the words Goose Headquarters. So Michelle and Goose, if you are thinking about moving to a small town where the motto is the Geese Fly and Bulls Cry, you can come stay with us for a bit til you find a new nest. I know you aren't planning to move, but it is fun to think about you being in Colorado.

Today I am heading down the road to see my friend and also go by a huge Whole Foods to pick up some items that we are out of in our store. I hope you have a wonderful day! Noreen & Hunter

  1. Hunter buddy, bones are yummy good! Give a try. And if ya still don't like it then I could take it off your paws.
I have to tell ya I love the Goose Headquarters. And truth be told my MOM would go in and have a beer and chat with the folks there. And she has been known to have a few oysters. Yea she rolls like that. On a time or two she and her friends have gone to a few local bars and bought a round for the folks there. To long of a story to tell, but it was and is a wonderful ministry tool.
And you never know we might just have to take you up on your offer. We love small towns and we do love Colorado. Hummm something to think about.
    Blessings,
    Goose

  3. Hey, we love you and Hunter, but You Can't Have our Goose and Pastor Michelle. We don't know what we would do if they moved. They are our best hiking and camping buddies.

    But you could move here......

    That would be really cool

    Love

  4. Woof! Woof! DELISH TAsty on Hunter's Bone. Just for safety, make sure to check where it was made (especially Hunter is young). Oh my mom loves Guy and his show Diners. He opened a new restaurant in NYC and lots of bad reviews. Oh Goose!!! Happy Wednesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  5. That's quite the yummy bone you have there, Hunter. Mom, it is probably too new for him, just wait until it "ages" a bit, then he will want it.

  7. Happy Birthday Hunter! :) Maybe it's the raw hide that he didn't like.. The red stuff.. it also stains everything....I've been living in the country in the south for 10 years moving from NJ where I lived all my life and I see things like you posted all the time and Im still not used to it. Don't think I ever will be! LOL

  9. Oh MY Noreen! Hunter has gotten so BIG!!! I guess I just got used to seeing puppy pics of him. I'm not a fan of oysters either, but the GOOSE sign is great!! Let's all move to Utah! What a dog park we could have there!! Chloe and LadyBug do not like the pork bones either...not sure why, but Chloe has never eaten them. It is one thing she will completely turn her nose up at and walk away! Hope you had a fun day visiting your friend. Hugs! Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug

  13. Happy birthday to Hunter! Hope he's figured out what a treat he got for his birthday!

I hope I don't end our friendship by telling you that I rather like Rocky Mountain Oysters (aka Lambs Fries here in the Midwest). Of course, I learned to enjoy them before I ever learned what they are. I've always been an adventurous eater. ;-)
