A Holiday Dinner

Good morning friends~Once again I am having issues with loading photos-even from Picaso. I am going to try another photo gallery that my blogging buddy Val suggested.  This is enough to make a gal crazy!   I think I need to take some sort of class on uploading photos.
We had a wonderful dinner with our friends on Friday but I only got a couple of photos of the table setting, which is still in Picaso.  .
We laughed, we ate and celebrated the holidays.  Saturday hubby and I did some shopping and then we had dog training. I can tell you that it showed we haven't been to class in three weeks; Hunter was simply so distracted.  I will say that I had to remind myself that the other two dogs are older, by many years, and have been trained by our trainer-so it isn't fair for me to compare.  We are now working more on down-stay, off lead, and Finish & Around.  I am hoping that by this Saturday he will be back in the grove.  The trainer had one dog "Drop" and immediately that pup hit the ground-I couldn't believe how quickly she responded-that shows her level of obedience; the trainer actually told me we are going to be doing that this session-to which I just giggled.  We only have two more classes left and I just don't see Hunter as being that advanced. Call me a bad mom for not giving him credit but really, he is just so young yet.
Today I'm heading down to see my girlfriend again and I will also go back on Friday; trying to get in as any visits as I can.  This week is already jam packed and I'm looking forward to some more down time at home where I can sew.
It is 12 degrees here and so cold; hope you are staying warmer than we are.  No snow this weekend although it was predicted.
Have a blessed day dear ones.

  1. It is cold here too but at least we are in the 20's. Stanley snaps to his commands (most of the time), but I am more of an "Okie Dokie" kind of pup. Then the last 2 nights our pawrents have been using pork roast with a few of our commands and I surprised everyone by snapping out my commands too! Mom said, "Huh?" and I just barked "Incentive Mom, incentive!". (But then I did something bad that you will see on Facebook. We're just all a work in progress!) Tell Hunter about the pork roast - YUM!

    Your Pals,

  3. Just like children, we are all different and can't be compared. I am sure my buddy Hunter is doing just fine and will get better and better. He's smart like that.

  4. It's warmer than 12 degrees here - but it's too cold to suit me. ;-) Now, if we could just get a little snow, I could tolerate the cold.

I, too, am so looking forward to some down time at home so I can quilt ... other than Wednesday night (our church Christmas dinner), I don't have anything scheduled until the weekend. So I'm hoping to get in a good bit of quilting. Next week will be my busy week. ;-)

Good luck with Hunter and the "drop". ;-)

  7. Oh I wish we had a little of your cold weather here. We hit 74 today. Nice for sure, but not very Christmas like, haha. I hate it when the pictures give me a problem...good luck with that. Hope you enjoyed your day!

  8. Wow, you must be freezing. How is Hunter dealing with the colds? When he's trained to be led off lead, it's gonna be so much fun! I love being off lead:)

  9. Hi Noreen, what sort of issues are you having with your photos? You host on Blogger, so don't you just click on the photo to upload directly to your blog. I have TONS of photos on Picasa and have spent tons of money paying for that storage, but I have since run out. Now, I upload them all to Shutterfly...they are unlimited and cost free!! So sorry to hear that Hunter isn't doing as well as you had thought. It just takes time. We aren't in the 20's although we should be at this time of year...we are actually about a foot and a half behind where we should be with snow too!! A bit of freezing rain tomorrow...and back to the 50's again. The weather patterns have been very strange indeed!! Happy Tuesday to you and Hunter!
    Hugs,
