A Bichon Wrestling Match

Happy Monday! On Saturday I decided I really needed to get some pics of Hunter playing with Lily, but every time I got down on their level they included me in their wrestling match or would attack me with kisses. So most of these are looking down on them; if you have a pup that won't leave you alone if you are on their level and have tips, I'd love them.
You can spot Lily because of her pink bows and also she is a bit bigger than Hunter.  He has all that puppy energy while Lily is a mature four years old.
Here Lily is shaking her head and reminds me of the Lion head Bichons are known for.

They had so much fun together but I think Hunter wore Lily out.
I have learned, this weekend, that one of Hunter's behaviors has a specific name-when he goes crazy and runs around the house like a madman, it is called a Bichon Blitz.  It really is helpful to know this it a behavior of Bichons and not just our crazy puppy.  When Lily went home, I think Hunter crashed, he was one tired puppy.
Have a day filled with fun.

  3. What fun ... thanks for sharing the pictures of their playtime. I'm sure that helped wear out Hunter ... you know that old saying, a tired dog is a good dog. ;-) So glad Hunter isn't afraid of thunder.

  4. So cute. My brother out there has a Bichon mix Teddy Bear puppy. We know the blitz WELL. lol We are thinking about getting another dog. Our Molly wants to play so badly when our daughter brings her dog but Maddie is not interested in that. She is a big lumbering slug...until the guard dog in her kicks in....then she can move. But most of the time she is not interested in playing. (c: But it is fun to watch when they do go at it....you have to get out of the way. Maddie is 85 pounds and Molly is 45....they are a force.

  5. Such great fun they had together. A tired pup is a good pup, or so Mom says. We love that photo of Hunter in the play bow position trying to engage Lily in some more fun.

  6. Hunter and Lily are adorable! I love how pets become such companions to one another.

We have schnauzers and cats --- and it's fun to watch them play too. We don't take any of them to the cabin, though, as they are much safer at home. Too many wild animals there!

  7. Cute pics, looked like they are good friends. If your camera has a good zoom you can be further away and still get good shots.
