From My Library

Several weeks ago, hubby and I ran up to Rocky Mountain National Park to get our annual pass and happened to stop at my favorite quilt store, Cottage Bliss.  This book was featured and because I love Amish stories I asked about it.  The author is the cousin of the owner of the store and even though I hadn't read any of Dianne Christner's books I was anxious to start.  I will say that Dianne was raised in a Conservative Mennonite church and her grandparents were Amish.  This story centers around a Mennonite community and the struggles one young woman has when outside influences begin to creep into their church. I laughed as well as cried and can't wait to read the next book that is due out in February.  For those friends who love Amish stories, you won't be disappointed.  Enjoy!
Blessings, Noreen

  3. Noreen, I have been an avid reader my whole life. But...But...But...for some reason, in the past few years, I can't read. I mean, I CAN READ. But I can't get through a book. The last book I read was The Help. Loved it. I think it is since I have begun to take care of Noah full time. When I have the time to read, I am beat. I miss reading. I am going to start again THIS
year, and I am putting THAT book on my list!!!
    Hugs,
    Kris

  6. Good morning, Noreen~

This looks like a wonderful book. I too love books on the Amish. I love to read Beverley Lewis and Wanda Brunstetter, they are my favorite authors.

My favorite quilt store is The Little Quilt Shop in Madison, VA. I drool at all the different fabrics they have there....amazing!

I hope you and your precious family are doing well!

    Blessings,~
