Happy Friday to you, happy Friday to you. It is a cold day here in northern Colorado with snow coming down. I was able to get out this morning and get my errands done which means this afternoon will just be spent doing some favorite things-you know, besides laundry, I'll be sandwiching my quilt together, pinning it and also finishing a great dog book. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice warm day so maybe hubby and I will be going on a drive. I hope your weekend is filled with giggles and smiles!
Hugs today, Noreen

Woos- Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Hi Noreen. I do all of my piecing on my little antique featherweight machine. But I do my machine quilting and most of my other sewing on my Viking. I have two other basic machines that I use a bit. But I am mostly waiting to give those to my girls when they express the desire to sew. I bought my Viking from my sewing machine repair man. He knew I was in the market for a heavy duty machine and when he came across this one, he gave it a good cleaning and service then called me. I bought it for 200 dollars. It is a bang up machine. It is old. About 30 years old probably. But built like a tank. It has CAMS that slip into the back for stitch options. It has lots of decorative stitches, but the stitch I most wish it had, and it doesn't is a blanket stitch. I use one that closely resembles it though. I am in the market for a new machine that is more geared towards quilting. But I won't ever give up this Gem of a Viking I have. Nor my Featherweight!!! I love my machines! What are you making right now, and what type of machine do you sew on?
ReplyDeleteIt's a warm 75 degrees again here today Noreen! Truthfully? I'd love a snowy, cold day...ENJOY yours for me! I am sewing too. My sister's daughter is having a baby and so I am making a few things for him. Have a good week-end! HUGS
ReplyDeleteIt's a cold one here too, mainly because of the wind. I guess we'll snuggle up and hang out together at home tonight - my favorite thing! Have a fantastic weekend....Denise
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll share a picture of your quilt. I love getting ideas from other quilters. ;-) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend, Nana!!

Enjoy your snow. We had a dusting here in northern nm but not enough. Still I am spending the evening under a blanket with tea and my favorite blog friends. Glad you are in this blog world of ours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving that lovely compliment. It's a cold and snowy day here. The sun is nice and bright.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we will see snow this year...enjoy yours. Oh a quilt, now that sounds so comforting and you do such wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteI just finished making a pillow, that is all the sewing for me right now.
