This weekend we are headed to the high places to spend a couple of nights with our entire family.
You can be sure that we will be sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and laughing.  We are hoping the rain stays away as well as the thunder.  Hubby and I will be trying out our daughter & sil's motor home and will hopefully get a feeling as to whether this is something we'd like to have in the future.  You can be sure this nana will be enjoying snuggling with her grands.  We will be celebrating one grands birthday-Mr.B is turning 8, at the same time we'll be celebrating his grandpa's birthday; yes Mr. B was born on my hubby's birthday.
I am hoping to visit one of my favorite quilt/gift stores and we will probably stop in and see the Irish Wolfhounds that are always at the Celtic store.
So this TT, I am thankful for camping trips with loved ones as well as the chance to try a motor home.
I am thankful for daughters and sils that enjoy traveling with us.  I am thankful for the wonder of the mountains and wildlife.
I am thankful for life.
Blessings to you this day and this weekend...I'll be back with photos.

  1. We have a little heat around here, too, but it's not from a campfire. Ours is from all the 100+ degree days. They just keep coming. Last night the forecast for the next week continued to offer 100-105 days!

I want to come see you in Colo.!!!!!!!!

Ridiculous, but anyway, we have always wondered what it would be like to travel in one as well. That would be on my bucket list if I had one!! lol

Hope all goes well, and yall have
great weather, good eats, good fellowship and tons of fun!!

    Love and Blessings hon, Nellie

  4. Noreen, I hope you'll have a wonderful time. We love to camp and of course don't get to go nearly as much as we'd like.
I will be interested to see what you think of the motorhome.
We have a nice 5th wheel trailer and we enjoy it very much. We made certain to get one with high axles, making more campgrounds accessible to us.
Trent and Smalley claim that when a group goes though struggles together, they bond. They said that camping works every time. Ha!
    Enjoy..........Denise

And it would be at the top of my wish list that we could all vaca together if only for a few days...I'd love to try a motorhome too. I will be anxious to hear what you think...and to see your pics....Have a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL time my friend...I will pray for good weather....at least no scary thunder, haha. Hugs!!

  9. Oh boy! This sounds like a S'mores experience if ever there was one.

What is it about high mountain air, the smell of Fir & Pine, and the total darkness of night in the high country that is such a tonic to the soul?

    Enjoy!
