Loving Fall

Happy Friday to you. I am loving the last bit of fall, but it is raining here today and the leaves are mainly on the ground. It is cold and I'm looking forward to staying inside today; I'll probably be downstairs sewing for the afternoon. Last winter, hubby and I talked about adding some burning bushes to our back yard, along the fence. For some reason when we went looking for the bushes, all the nurseries were sold out and we never got any. Fast forward to this autumn when I'm loving seeing all the burning bushes in their glory around. This coming spring/summer we will be getting around five bushes and they will be planted-got to have me some.

I found this photo online last year and have had it on my desk top; I decided it was a perfect Autumn scene. Love it I tell you.
This morning I had an appointment with a new doctor-a GP and I really liked him. My old doctor is leaving main stream medicine so I was in need of a doctor that takes insurance.  My new doctor is all about living a healthy lifestyle and using natural remedies whenever possible, with prescription medicines being the last resort.  This has been my philosophy for most of my life and it was so refreshing to meet a doctor with the same viewpoint.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, the last day of the month is here-where has the year gone?
Joy to you!
Noreen

  1. Isn't it wonderful to find a good doctor who you are in sync with? I switched doctors at the beginning of the year and am so pleased. In fact, she called me herself this morning to follow up on some tests she ordered and to discuss our treatment plan.

  2. I forgot to mention that I too love burning bushes. Our neighbor has one that j can see from the kitchen sink ... it's always such a beautiful red in the fall. We too keep meaning to plant some along our fence out back. Next spring for us, too, I hope!

  3. Noreen, I think I would love your dr. I miss our old GP..I do not go to the dr. when I am well...so I have not been in a while...now I am hearing rumors of her leaving town. Indiana University is taking over so many hospitals and the drs. offices..some do not like it so they are just leaving our area. I love that photo too... I think I could look at that picture every day. My mom loved fire bushes and finally got one a few years before she passed....she loved how red the leaves would turn. Hope you get some to plant this next spring. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. All of mom and dad's doctors had to be replaced too! The dentist retired and the regular doc moved and mom's doc retired. Sheesh! Gonna be cold here next week!

  8. What a gorgeous fall picture! Just love it, and can see why you saved it! Isn't it wonderful when you can find a doctor who believes in trying natural remedies first, rather than right off shoving you out the door with a prescription! Hope you had a wonderful fall afternoon doing your sewing :)

  9. I think a lot of folks are looking for Drs. that are "into" natural remedies and not so eager to pick up their prescription pad. We'd all be a lot better off for sure. Love burning bushes and may have to add a couple to our new landscape in the Spring. Happy new week!

  10. Hi Noreen! We have a pretty big burning bush, and it's finally changing colors. It's been a late fall here, but today it's just gorgeous and I can't wait to get out there and have a good walk.
We spent the weekend with my daughter and her family. Her little Charlie was baptized, and it was just lovely.
    Have a good Monday!
