I've been showing you our new home and all the fluff & finery, but today I thought I'd show you reality.
For the most part, the majority of our boxes are unpacked or put into the storage area of our basement.  However, this is the last room that really needs some help.  It is my sewing room; last night hubby and I began putting together my craft/cutting table(pictured on the left, leaning against the wall.  I've got about six large boxes that need to be unpacked and put into my bookshelf.  After our garage sale this weekend, I have another table that will hold a machine or two for our granddaughters.  This was hubby's idea-to get two cheap machines and teach two granddaughters at a time to sew.  Both of our older ones are already sewing but it might be fun to let them practice here, side by side.
I am finally getting to go out walking with Kam today and I'm thankful. I also have to stop by the post office and get some goodies in the mail to Cindy Cain and Nellie Todd for winning my "Where am I contest".  A bit of time with the grands and then I'll be home; hopefully unpacking.
I hope you have a wonderful day today!
Blessings to you~

  1. Wow a craft room how wonderful. We have a study and that is about it. Glad it is all coming together. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. Wait a minute . . . you are teaching 2 grand daughters to sew? You rock! What a wonderful gift to give them!! The boxes will wait!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  3. I've been gone for a bit so missed the move! Whooo Hoooo- a craft and sewing room- you lucky girl. I am relegated to the basement for "my space". xo Diana

  4. You planning to teach your granddaughters to sew is so precious, they will always remember this special time with you. Your sewing room is going to be beautiful Noreen. Enjoy!

  5. I love your sewing room! Mine is tucked in a corner of what Melissa still calls "her room" even though she hasn't lived at home in almost 10 years!

  6. Congratulations on the new home!

  7. Oh, you are going to love summer in your new home. And all coming seasons as well.

  8. So glad that you are finally making it to your sewing room! And how awesome that you'll be sewing alongside your granddaughters. What previous memories you'll be making!

  9. So glad you are getting settled, it always is a bigger job then one anticipates. Having sewing tables for your granddaughters is a wonderful idea. What a great way to create memories. While I was very unsuccessful at the hand crafts, I have wonderful memories of my Nana trying to teach me!

  10. No worries about what is left to unpack, instead pride yourself on how much you have accomplished so quickly. Your sewing room is going to be just fine, and just think of the wonderful memories you and your granddaughters will create there.

  11. How wonderful to have a whole room for sewing in Noreen. How I would love that!! And I think your idea of the two machines to teach your granddaughters on is a wonderful plan! My little 5 year old granddaughter is fascinated with the whole idea as well. I think I might give her a little while longer before I teach her, but I can't wait. And speaking of "can't wait" I can't wait to see that sewing room all together. Hope the rest of your week is good!

  12. Hi Noreen! Popping in to say hello...what a lovely home you have!! It is beautiful. It is also wonderful you are teaching your grands to sew! Glad to hear that Hunter has settled in. I am very behind in reading blogs!! xo Jeanne and the girls

  13. Hi Noreen,

and can't believe you got snow again. wow.......will this winter ever stop.......
What a nice big sewing and craft
room you have....that is really nice. Love your pretty fireplace too, and looks like you are about
done with you boxes so know you are ecstatic about that..........

Also wanted to say I received my package along with your sweet note. Thank you so much for the lovely notecards and the sweet
    plumeria scented coconut oil soap.
It smells so good and is very pretty too........Can't wait to
try it.........and it was a fun
surprise cause I had forgotten about it!! Thanks again so much

We just started feeding our cat
Blue Buffalo grain free food back
in March and she is doing so much
better, cause she was itching and
pulling her fur out and looked horrible, her hair has almost all grown back now, and she is not
itching all the time, and we can
just tell she is feeling better,
and is eating better as well.
    So it must be doing

Well, take care hon, and hope you get some nice rest her soon.
    Blessings Abundant,
    and Thanks again sweetie
