This morning my hubby left our house about 7:00 a.m., the temp. was 42 degrees; when I went walking at 7:45, it had dropped to 39 degrees. It has gotten progressively colder; right now it is about 37 degrees. The smell of snow is in the air and let me tell you that after having 81 degrees yesterday, this is a drastic change. Now you all know I love cool weather and being inside sewing, but this is really cold and I'm not ready for it. I hear tell it is snowing in Montana today and as much as I love to share, you can keep it up there please.
I know California is having a heat wave but stop complaining, I don't think you really want to drop that much in temp in one day.
Hope you are all having a great Thursday and enjoying whatever weather you have.
I'm glad our daughter passed a jacket and sweater on to Hunter; if this keeps up, he'll need them.
Smile, it is contagious!

I think we're due to get what you all are getting ... maybe not as drastic, but a pretty significant change nevertheless. It's already 85 here now and it only going to get to the upper 40's/lower 50's tomorrow. Thankfully it won't last too long ... into the 60's by Monday.
ReplyDeleteI love snow ... and I'm not sure that I'd be turning it down ... we didn't get any "real" snow last year, so I'm really hoping that we'll get some this year.
WOW!! Your right, such a big drop! We are starting to FINALLY cool off some. Next week looks gorgeous! Mid 70's during the day, cooling to low 60's at night! Perfect...You will probably warm back up right? Kind of early to be this cold? I am just guessing though, I don't know, haha. Enjoy your day and keep warm (seems funny saying that!) HUGS
ReplyDeleteIt has gotten quiet a bit colder here too. I bet it does warm up in a few days.

Of course Denver is on the news here and seeing everyone all bundled up, you can tell it's cold! It reminds me of my days in Alaska, and today when it's 80 degrees for us, I'm not complaining, because I know it'll be here soon enough! I am looking for a coat for Todd!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well, and you're enjoying your day--Stay warm my friend!! ♥♥
I agree....the cold today was a shock, even though we knew it was coming. I hope we will get to have a little more Fall before the snow comes.
ReplyDeleteWe had a big drop in temps today too. You can just imagine how much we sibes are loving it too. We had our snooters in the air but we couldn't smell the snow YET!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that we are actually 50% colder today than we were less than five weeks ago. From close to 100 to upper 40s.

We have been enjoying unseasonably warm temps here in Upstate NY! It has been so beautiful...Today I was out in sandals and a short sleeve shirt and usually we would be in boots and sweatshirts!! It is supposed to drop quite a bit over the weekend and then back up again on Monday. We will take what we can get! Happy Weekend to you and Hunter!! xo Jeanne, Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteWow; that is a huge drop in temperature for one day! It is still hot in Phoenix but the evenings and mornings are cooler. I long for days that are in the low 70's. That's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
