Happy Friday to you!  It is already warming up here in Colorado; I've already hit the local garage sales and also hubby and I took Hunter out for his morning walk.  What amazes me is that if I have him with his friends, his energy lasts much longer but if it is just hubby and I then he is ready to quit much sooner.  I guess that is peer pressure.  The weekend looks pretty relaxed although we do have four of the grands coming tomorrow night for a sleepover; it should be fun because we've got the Olympics recorded and they are so enjoying watching the games, that I know tomorrow night will find us doing just that.  Every summer I hope to have the grands over at least four times each but so far it has only been two times; I often feel like I neglect this aspect.  With school starting for one family and the other having already started, I'm just not sure when the next sleepover will be.  I've started hand quilting the baby quilt and keep adding more to it but I think it will go quickly, if I can ever get Hunter to stop trying to get the batting; he does make it difficult to sew-he is always after something in my container with my thread etc.
I hope you have a delightful weekend filled with all that makes you smile.
Hugs, Noreen

  1. Hi Noreen. Sounds like a nice weekend is ahead for you and the grands!
It is record breaking heat here. Makes me so lethargic! And that is NOT like me! I will probably do nothing!!

  2. Noreen,

You always continue to truly bless my life as first a blogging friend and then a Facebook friend, but it's being a sister-in-Christ that I adore the most. I hope you have the very best weekend and that God blesses you through the time your spending with your family!

  3. I think Hunter is just trying to help out. He jsut might be another Dave over at Army of Four Headquarters. He helps his mom with quilting by picking out just the right color.

  5. I am sure you will enjoy your sleep over for the grands! Sounds good to me. This summer flew by. I just had one of my granddaughters for a few days. I do better with one at a time. Your brave to work 4, haha. Loving the Olympics over here too. Have a good week-end! HUGS

  6. Peer pressures....hehehe. Oh how I wish I could quilt. Both of my sister in law's do and I am in awe. Steph hasn't really talked about the temps out there....just sending pictures of her finds as she hits the trails on her bike. Have fun with your grands!

  7. I only have two grands. I agree-you are pretty good to do four at a time. I suspect though if I had four I'd do it, too!

  8. Our dogs loved to play with the batting while I was hand quilting ... since most of my quilts are larger (twin-sized or bigger), there was plenty of batting to be gotten to!

I hope that you will be able to schedule another sleepover soon ... I know how difficult it can be with busy families ... I have a hard time and I only have one daughter's family schedule to work with. ;-)

  12. I am with Hunter on the peer pressure thing. Like I really have to put my best foot forward when Goose is with us. I mean the guy is almost 13 years old and he can out last me by half an hour.
    Happy Sunday
