Yesterday hubby and I headed to my favorite place, Estes Park, also referred to as the High Places. It was a beautiful day there, the temps were higher than at home and I believe there was less snow on the ground. We were hoping to see lots of Elk and we also needed to renew our annual pass to the Park but alas we struck out on both of those. We spotted these ducks on the Big Thompson River and hubby ran along the road to get these photos while I stayed in the car. What a man I've got!
Loved seeing these swimming all in a row; this area of the river was pretty clear while other parts of the river was mostly ice.
Have a wonderful day!

Great shot! They must have been coooold!!!
ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful, but we do understand why most birds fly south for winter!!
ReplyDeleteAROOOOOF!
Boondocks & The Love Shack Pack
That is on one of my places to visit. I love Colorado but I have never visited there and I have always wanted too.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures look so pretty. I am going to get caught up on your blogs.
How beautiful and serene. They actually look so peaceful floating there on that chunk of iced over snow!
ReplyDeleteMy MOM LOVES that place. She use to go at least 3 times a year working with the youth of the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference. It is a place of great beauty. She has fond memories of Estes Park.

Very beautiful and peaceful!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It's been years since I have been up in the mountains in the winter. Our youngest is driving out to my brothers tomorrow for about 4 days. She wants to get up in the mountains someplace. He lives in Fort Collins. It's been so many years since I've been to Estes Park. Would she need a very expensive pass to get in for just a few hours?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to visit! And what a great hubby to run along taking pics for you...I love it! The ducks are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see that you visited one of our favorite places, Estes Park. Our daughter and some of her cousins went to school there, and we love visiting that beautiful place. What fun to have something more in common with you. Your four year old little granddaughter is adorable! I hope she had a real happy birthday. It is always fun to visit here.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family.
