One of our family traditions is watching holiday movies; our girls grew up watching the Little House on the Prairie Christmas special. Each year we would sit together as a family and enjoy this classic as well as Miracle on 34th Street. Many would not consider Little House a classic, but for our family it was. Each year hubby and I try to add a couple of videos to our collection, for the grands. This year I had heard about these two movies and we got them for a bargain; both families watched Santa Paws and thought it was such a cute movie.
Our oldest daughter's family watched the video below and of course loved it. Our youngest daughter and sil choose not to watch it because her hubby travels internationally so much and they didn't want their young girls worrying about someone burglarizing their home.
If you are looking for some lighthearted Christmas movies, gives these a try-but you may want to preview The Dog Who Saved Christmas before letting young ones watch it.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Noreen
I, too, love the Miracle on 34th Street, we watch that every year. Is the Little House one of their Christmasy episodes, or is it a special 'movie'; each one of their Christmas shows was lovely. I loved Little House, and still do, and I cry at every episode! I also love 'The Homecoming' which was the precursor to The Waltons. I've always loved Patricia Neal, and this movie is so charming.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas!
Good morning! Watching Christmas movies is definitely one of our traditions too. I think we have every one ever made, haha...I have not seen or heard of these two though so I will definitely give them a try. Hallmark channel always has some cute ones too. Hope you are enjoying your week. HUGS
ReplyDeleteWe love watching Christmas movies too. Miracle on 34th Street is a favorite, as well as the Little House Christmas movie. They are movies we watch every year too. We've been watching a lot Hallmark Christmas movies this year also.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Noreen! :)
We enjoy watching Christmas movies too...Hallmark has quite a few that we enjoy over the holidays. Just saw one on their that was called The Dog named Christmas I think. It was good!

ReplyDeleteThat is one of our traditions too, is watching the Christmas movies and our favorite one is Scrooge,I didn't spell that right I am sure but that's okay. I am sure you know what I meant! There are 3 differnet ones we have and the one that came out on 3D last year, I bought that one too.
Thanks for a great post.
Christmas Blessings,
Tricia XO
Every year after MOM preaches at the 11pm service on Christmas Eve she comes home and we watch her favorite Chrsitmas movie (I like it too) which is A Muppet Christmas Carol, and we eat popcorn.

Hi Noreen,
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you today, and glad you could come by and that you enjoyed my decorations. Have to say I had fun doing this room since it was different this year, it usually is decorated it traditional Christmas colors..........
Hubby and I adore Christmas movies too. We just watched a remake of miracle of 34th street last week, and it was great! We have one now called Christmas Lodge, so can't wait to watch it. Did you ever see the Christmas cottage, it is about the life of Thomas Kincaide. We just happened on it, but really liked it. Thanks for the suggestions we will have to try them. We really like Polar express too, it is so cute..........and has a message as well.
Hope you have the Merriest of Christmas's ever and May the Lord bless and bless you in the New year sweetie, you and yours!
Nellie

Such great movies.
ReplyDeleteThese movies look like such fun! I was just telling my husband that typically we see LOTS of good Christmas movies on T.V. this time of year and I haven't seen any yet (except for "It's A Wonderful Life")
ReplyDeleteWe don't have cable or dish, just antennae T.V. - but my husband's favorite Christmas movie is the old black & white Scrooge. I think we're going to watch that on Hulu or Youtube. :)
Blessings and joy and fun to you for Christmas!
