Sunday Blessings

May grace abound to you this day.  Last night I began fighting a nasty cold some of our grands have so today I am laying low, enjoying the warmth of the sun shining through our sliders and working on my quilt.  Hubby is off to work so I have the whole day just to rest; so I am thankful that I don't have a lot of my plate this day or even this week.  I am thankful that I don't have to run to a job and work when I'm not feeling up to it.  I am thankful that colds don't hit me as hard as they did when I was younger.  I always got bronchitis immediately and would battle with asthma but generally I am not hit as hard as I used to be.  I also crank up the liquids, Vit. C and other natural things to boost my immune system.  Because I am feeling very drained, I may even take a little nap later today.  I am thankful for movies that make me feel good; a good chick flick always llifts my spirits and with hubby gone I am free to watch at least one.
I am thankful for our continued nice weather although snow is in the forecast this week.
I am thankful that Lexie, our friends dog, is holding her own and seems to be alright.  Still praying for a complete recovery for her though.
May your Sabbath be filled with the Glory of the Lord.
Blessings, Noreen

  2. yep... keep pumping that vitamin C and lots of liquids! I sound just like my own mother! :)

Rest and enjoy the fact that you can, it's the best thing we can do when the 'bug' hits. :)

Snow? wow... I'm still half way between flip flop and boots in Texas.

Hope you feel much better in the week ahead.

  3. Good Sunday evening Noreen, I am sorry you are not feeling well, but those kisses and hugs from those sweet G-kids sure make a cold a little better LOl. I have had my share of those too. What a wonderful day this sounds like, my kinda day.
Get plenty of rest, and take your supplements.
    Much love,
    Sue

  5. Hope you're feeling better already. Thankful that it's not hitting you too hard ... bronchitis is NOT fun!

We've got 70-degree weather coming this week ... I'd rather have snow. ;-)

    Take care.

P.S. Thank you for the sweet, sweet words on Friday. You don't know HOW MUCH they meant to me.

  6. Yes, I wish you lived closer, so we could get together. We'll just have to road trip out to Colorado. My grandmother used to live in Cheyenne, Wyoming and I spent the summers with her. I loved visiting the mountains of Colorado. Hope you feel better this week. Love & blessings from NC!

  8. Dropped in to say, "I love you dear friend". I'm sorry you are feeling under the weather...I am too with physical aching.

I've been enjoying reading your postings...I've been reading a lot these days and not much commenting on friend's blogs...just not feeling well.

You always bring a smile to my face and my day when I stop in here...you are so upbeat and encouraging. The Lord shines through your heart here.

My prayers go up for your healing and I hope that your sleep is peaceful and when you wake up you will feel re-energized.

    Big Hugs,
    Alleluiabelle
