As A Nation

As a nation, I believe we christians fall short of the Lord's desires for us. You can look at our administration, that we the people elected, you can look at the soaring abortion rate as well as alcoholism and drug addiction rates. Even the divorce rate among christians has risen, let alone pornography. The list could go on and on. We need to take stock of our individual lives and take stock of our heritage here in this great country. As representatives of the Lord, we need to carefully align our behavior with the Word of God.

"If my people, which are called by My name shall humble themselves, pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."2 Chronicles 7:14

Father, we ask you to forgive us the sins of our country. Have mercy on us Lord, hear the cry of your people, cleanse us and heal our land. In the precious name of our savor, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

It's Thankful Thursday, and I for one am so thankful for the blood of my Lord and Savior. I'm thankful that He hears our cries and will heal our land if we but repent and turn from our sins.

Blessings, Noreen

  8. Amen Noreen!!
You are so right. If our country has
ever needed revival it is surely now. I pray that as a people we will live our lives in such a way that God will smile on us, and be able to once again Bless America in amazing ways!!
I heard that years ago when they had a revival was when the barber shop quartets started. They were police men that didn't have much to do because no one was stealing.
What a warm and wonderful thought that is!! Can you just imagine for a minute what that would be like!! Heaven!!
    Blessings dear friend, Nellie
