We anticipated seeing more wildlife than we did; we only found one very large herd of Elk grazing in the park. They did look a bit thinner than in the fall.
We actually thought we'd take a short hike but then the snow started to fall, we weren't equipped so decided we'd rather go have lunch. It was such a wonderful outing with hope of springtime that we are looking forward to doing lots of easy hikes this spring and summer.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Noreen

I love Rocky Mountain National Park. Have never got to see it during the winter -- only summer months during vacations there.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful day yesterday. Oh, how I love the mountains. They are good for my soul. Thank you for sharing the pics.

ReplyDeleteMorning Sweet friend,
ReplyDeleteWow, what beauty, that lil elk did look mighty thin bless his heart,
bet he is really ready for spring,
and food!!
Glad you went for lunch and didn't try to hike in that!! Somehow just doesn't seem safe, course, I know people do it!! We'd like to keep you around a bit longer!! lol
That was so sweet you mentioned me in your Thankful thursday post.
My life is richer for knowing you as well.
Hope you have a good day and it has warmed up a lil bit at least.
It looks like it is almost 70 here.
Wow..... wasn't quit expecting that, but sounds great to me.
If it is not windy I just might have to scurry out and sit in the sunshine a bit. That always feels so glorious especially when it has been a while.
Have super great week,
Love and blessings, Nellie
Great pictures. It did look awfully white up there even from here. Son and family got snowed in up there and didn't make it home last night. I forget where...some ski town, even though they weren't skiing. Have a great Monday (o:
ReplyDeleteAnd we would love to join you on some of those summer hikes in the High Country. We use to do a lot of hiking up there so have many trails we would love to revisit - especially with special friends!
