Wednesday Wildlife

While our dear friends from California were here visiting we were able to take them on some drives to explore more of our area. It is hard to believe but parts of northern Colorado got hit with snow this last weekend. We saw the dusting on the trees in one of our favorite canyons and wanted to get a photo of it.

We were able to take them to a raptor center and saw this Bald Eagle. The birds at the center have been permanently injured and will live out their days in a safe haven. The majestic eagle was beautiful! We were also able to find two Bald Eagles sitting on nests near our town; what a sight for our friends to see.
Amidst the other critters we spotted were Prairie Dogs.

More ducks in one of our numerous wildlife habitats.
We had so much fun with our friends, hiking and exploring, that we are anxious to get the grandkids out to these habitats.

  1. It is fun to visit all those places and see animals. Are your friends enjoying Colorado or are the cold? (o:

  4. H Noreen,
First let me say thank you so much for all of the encouraging words you left yesterday, you will never know how much they meant to me.. It is much more fun putting it on than taking it off. But my main goal is to become healthy!! Please continue to pray as I will for you.

I enjoyed your pictures of your trip with your friends, I know you all had such fun while they were here. The first picture with the light snow fall is unbelievable.

I looked over your other post of your quilter friends, and thought how wonderful to have people that you formed such great relationships with especially for a worthy cause. I like the quilts that are tied, I had an older lady give me several many years ago, and wish that I had kept them instead of letting our sons take them off to college.!! LOL Lord knows where they went. lol gotta love them though!!
    Blessings,
    Sue
