All the leaves are brown
(All the leaves are brown)
And the sky is gray
(And the sky is gray)
I've been for a walk
(I've been for a walk)
On a winter's day
(On a winter's day)
(All the leaves are brown)
And the sky is gray
(And the sky is gray)
I've been for a walk
(I've been for a walk)
On a winter's day
(On a winter's day)
I'd be safe and warm
(I'd be safe and warm)
If I was in L.A
(If I was in L.A.)
California dreamin'
(California dreamin') on such a winter's day
(I'd be safe and warm)
If I was in L.A
(If I was in L.A.)
California dreamin'
(California dreamin') on such a winter's day
I remember that song well. I loved it. All the music of the 60's and 70's was so different from the music of today.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and stay dry!
:)
The song I don't know, guess I am still stuck in the 40's and 50's. ~smile`
ReplyDeleteI am one of those who is dreaming of spring.
enjoy your day.
We love that song. We are lucky we have very mild and sunny days forecast. We blow some of our good weather over to you all. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

Oh- I loved that song then and I still do- it is running through my head right now. I loved the Mamas & Papas, too- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYES ~ Growing up on the Beaches of SoCal ~ Oh YES This is I song I remember well!!! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love that song ... and Monday Monday, too!
ReplyDeleteI suspect that the snow that we're supposed to get Wednesday is the rain that you're getting now?
Oh yes, I remember that song well, Noreen.... and watching the Mamas & the Papas singing it on the Ed Sullivan Show (lip-syncing it, I should say! *lol*). Good memories from a much less worrisome time of my life. I wish I could be a young person again... if only for just a little while.... and have my parents & my brother to talk with once again too.

Hi Noreen,
ReplyDeleteI can sing this song word for word. Love it! I have missed so many people during my sporadic blogging. It's been a difficult year to live through. I've scrolled down and read the last few postings here. Love the pics of your grand kids. They remind me of little cats in the pics resting on top of cupboards and things. Adorable.
Thank you for keeping me in your prayers. You are such a beautiful soul.
Love you,
Alleluiabelle
Love that song, but the one I have been clinging to the last week or so is
ReplyDelete'Here Comes The Sun'.
I have been humming it and playing it and dreaming it. Today was wonderful here and hope you get it soon too. Thanks for stopping by and seeing all the sun we got!
I'm not ashamed to admit that I still love the Mamas and Papas. Even ABBA. I have "California Dreaming" on my iPod on a travel playlist for car trips.
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple of inches of snow last night and today the temperature rose to the 50s and made quick work of the snow.
We love that song too

I really love that song!! Now, of course, I will be singing it in my head all day!! We are SO looking forward to heading south!! We are trying really hard to dig out of all the snow that is drifted in the back yard. Have a Happy Saturday Noreen and hugs to Hunter!
ReplyDeleteIt was near 70 degrees today in my Northern California town. I can't wait for Spring to arrive and stay!
ReplyDeleteI do remember that song! Oh my gosh what a beautiful blog, thank you so much for visiting me, you made my day!
ReplyDeleteI know the words to that song very well Noreen! I'm sure you are ready for spring. It's actually getting very warm here in Phoenix (a bit too early for me). I hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
