A Party

Last night we celebrated our oldest grandson's birthday-the big 13. We gathered for dinner, presents and dessert. The meal was so yummy but the family time was incredible. Our young man is an incredible fellow; such a helper, hard worker and his momma calls him the "baby whisperer". All the grands get along so well together and the youngest two are just beginning to play together. It is such a precious sight! The birthday boy(on the right) and his brother.

Our Peanut; for all who've followed me for quite awhile, you well remember the health issues her parents dealt with. I am happy to say that she is one fun young girl.

Two cousins as close as can be; it will be such fun to watch them grow up together.

Present time-the birthday fellow loves Legos, which makes shopping so very easy. We were discussing the Lego company last night and how hard it is to become a Master Builder for them.

The girls-Momma Carrie on the right, Kim and then me. Our daughters look more alike every year-Love these girls; the Lord has blessed me indeed! Love our family; just wish my brother and sil could have joined us. Life is a bit crazy right now as two of our families are packing for a move; not sure company would be as comfortable as in the past. Best wait til the early summer.

Brent and the youngest one in Carrie's family. Amazing how quickly babies grow!

The two youngest grands-Little Man and Sweet Girl interacting together. Little Man is just about 1.5 yrs and Sweet Girl is almost 9 mos. I think we blink and they grow.

Sundaes are a big hit with our group. The two candles recognize his two parties. Carrie also made an incredible Apple Blueberry Crisp, which I know I will make in the future.

Two cousins picking out toppings.

It wouldn't be a party without the two white furballs.  Where else would you find them but in my lap; actually they love all the kiddos, so play a lot with them.
This was the last party at this house; the house has provided so much for the family-a place filled with Life and Love. However, I am so excited to see what is in store for their next home; I'm excited because it will only be 2.5 miles from our new house. I am thankful that we won't be moving at the same time; in fact, hubby and I go on vacation before we move.  By the time we get back and start the move, Carrie and family will be all settled.  Thank you Lord for family and for Your Hand leading and guiding us all.

It is clouding up here and snow is due this afternoon, so hubby and I will be going to the movies. I'm so enjoying the nice "spring-like" days we've had; can't wait for the warm days to stay for longer than two at a time. I am not one who complains about the heat at all; I am also looking forward to enjoying the pool at the golf course where we are moving.  I see more family time there as well.
Have a great Tuesday!  Remember to count your blessings and give thanks.

  3. What sweet faces you have there! All of them so adorable! Its so nice to stop in here and see all the fun in your house. Love the sundae idea for the kids. We are above 70 here now, but the snow is coming in tonight around midnight. Rain could happen before that and then the wind is to pick up. 2-4 inches only and they say the snow should be wet, so hopefully no blowing. I have loved these last 2 days, too!

  11. What a sweet family you have, Noreen. Hard to believe that you have a grandson who's 13 ... hard for me to believe that I have a grandson who's 12. How time flies!

    What movie did you see?
