Happy Monday to you. On Saturday our little Miss A, aka Sunshine, turned two; it is so hard to believe, just two years ago on Thanksgiving Day she entered this world and this family. She is such a joy and always so happy, such a precious smile she has too. I always love watching our grands grow and change and she is a blessing to the family. I have been told that she already holds her own with her siblings, but when you are number five you have to. Her happy personality lights up the room and I love watching her talk and play.
I pray she will grow into a godly girl just like her mama was and her sisters. We will be having a party next weekend so I'll be posting plenty of photos.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I can't believe it but hubby and I did run out on Friday to take advantage of some great sales at Ko*ls, two sets of sheets that were ridiculously cheap-they were reduced over $60. We hardly ever buy sheets, I refuse to pay the price they are normally but get tired of poor quality as well. To tell you what a good deal they were, even hubby was excited about them because he knows how expensive they are. Now we have three good sets-one designated for our guest room. We hit a couple of other stores but didn't have luck so yesterday we went back out and found birthday presents for Sunshine and her big sister. Today I'm meeting friends to celebrate another friends birthday and then hope to get some things done around here. My girlfriend is back in the area from Ca., helping her brother recoup from a hip replacement surgery; I hope to work out a time to see her as well.
Are you all ready for the season, is your nest all decorated? Ours is and I hope to get some pics this week to share.
Hugs, Noreen

Happy birthday, Miss A! I smiled reading through your post as your family reminded me of my own! Such a blessing!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the pictures of your decorated home!
Have a great week!
Samantha (Boon's mom) ;-)
Oh, she's a little beauty, Noreen.
ReplyDeleteI know she really must be a joy.
Yes, I finished all of the decorations yesterday and may post some pictures later this week.
Good Afternoon Noreen, such a pretty family and darling grands., yes~ I am ready for Christmas now all decorations up! I am still wondering where the time has gone! I'm getting ready for that good burst of energy to get my Christmas shopping finished!!LOL! but anyway loving our cooler temps., here in E.Tx., Happy birthday to your Grand., she is so pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your blog. It's like talking with you on the phone. Little bits of what is going in your life.
ReplyDeleteGrandchildren do grow up fast and I agree with you, it's fun to watch.
What an adorable little girl!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate paying a lot of money for sheets as well. My husband was with me on one excursion. When I mentioned how much I hate paying a lot of money for sheets he very wisely pointed out that since we spend more time in bed than any other single place, we SHOULD pay more to get highest quality. I agree, but I still look for those sales prices.
She's a little doll! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm putting up a tree on the screened porch this week.....it's the first time I've done one outside, so I'm pretty excited! We'll be able to see it from the bottom of the hill when we drive up to the house! Yay!
Soo glad your Thanksgiving was wonderful. What a great pic! Soo pretty both of them. I have not started decorating inside yet, but I am getting there. HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie. I remember when she was born becuase it is my sister's birthday and she was born on Thanksgiving also.
ReplyDeleteYou are brave shopping on Black Friday. I do not like shopping any day of the year and only go to grocery stores after Thanksgiving. We do not do many gifts for Christmas, we save the larger items for birthdays and try to focus on Christ and family instead of the commercial aspects.
What a happy post...birthday wishes to your sweet granddaughter...Aren't grandchildren a precious gift from God?......
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed and wonderful day, sweet friend....
What a sweet little one! You are a brave one to get out on Black Friday. We decorate our home for Christmas that day. Our girls were a TON of help this year as hubby was in BAD shape with his back. We ended up going into a pain clinic yesterday...they worked him in so hopefully we're on the up swing of this nonsense. I haven't been getting around as much. PARTY ON with all your friends. God is good to bring such joys into our life. I guess I need to get cleaning around the house today. Our small group from church is having a potluck party here on Thursday. Hope you have a GRAND time with friends.
ReplyDeleteGood sheets are a splurge for me. I watch for sales and bite the bullet when I can find some at a decent price. Yes, the cheap sheets are still less expensive, but there is a huge difference that's worth the extravagance in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to decorate until this weekend. We'll have Ts Thursday and Friday, so I want them to have plenty of room to play. I can't wait to see your pictures.
I love your new background, too.
