Rocky Mountain National Park

Last Wednesday hubby and I ventured up to the high places-i.e. Rocky Mountain National Park.  This is one great fellow that we saw.  I was surprised at the low number of Elk we saw, only a couple of herds.
Mainly I wanted to see the colors; although they aren't at their peak yet, they are beginning to change.

We drove the Peak To Peak highway to see if there were differences and there were-much more color.  We passed this church and I don't remember having noticed it before.  So pretty and the colors surrounding it were so vivid.

  4. While my first "love" (as far as destinations are concerned) is the beach, I certainly did enjoy our visit to RMNP last summer ... and would like to return some time soon. Wanting to see the beautiful gold of the fall aspens makes me think that a fall trip might be in order. We saw what we thought were a lot of elk when we visited - we were able to get quite close. It was amazing.

My Dad use to go Elk hunting.

Oh your daughter's dog...I hope she is enjoying, we enjoy ours. She has now realized the 15 year leaves for the day and she starts to the door when she thinks he should be home.

  13. Good morning! Oh what gorgeous pictures...I am sure it was even more breathtaking in person.

The book intrigues me for some reason ...I am thinking maybe my 10 year old grand daughter might enjoy it. Maybe even the one who is nearing 8.

Hope you have a wonderful day my friend! I am in serious Sam withdrawals over here, haha... : (

    Love you!
