Happy Friday

So gals, are you doing the happy dance because it is Friday?  I always look forward to this day even though we aren't working, guess old habits die hard.  Well yesterdays study was good~I love the fellowship, accountability, and of course digging into the Word.  After the study my girlfriend and I went to Whole Foods for lunch(for those not familar with this store, it is a health food store as well as deli/backery) they have the best salad bar ever and it is a favorite place that I can get gluten free salads etc.  We headed to several costume stores and a thrift store after that.  I got some ideas but I'm here to tell you that I won't spend $90 to rent something for a dinner.  I think if I was participating in real life enactments it would be different; my friend may have a jacket and top that would work for me otherwise the only other thing I can think of is that we do have an old Southern Bell dress, from when my girls were in high schoo, and maybe if I added lace to the top that might work????  I also might hit GW on Monday to see if I can find something; when we moved here I gave a lot of my nice outfits away that would be suitable so I don't even have a nice evening skirt/dress I could wear.  Hummmmmm.
We are off to the Mint this morning and it should be lots of fun except that cell phones and cameras are prohibited so I won't be taking photos my friends.
Have a wonderful day and fun filled healthy weekend.
Hugs, Noreen

  1. Good Morning Noreen

I am so happy it is Friday too. It is rainy here in Oregon (no surprise) I love the rain but it is in the 50's. With my hot flashes I like it cooler. LOL
Today I get to see my granddaughters and I am looking so forward to have a great weekend enjoying them although they will exhaust me.
    Good luck with your costumes.

    Have a great weekend!
    Blessings & Hugs

  2. Hey Noreen. Glad you are feeling better. Good luck with the Victorian dinner outfit. Yikes!! In answer to your question about Ducey with the kiddos.. He is fine with Noah, because, Noah lived here with us when we got Ducey. He was used to his jumpiness from the beginning. But our two granddaughters are afraid of him, and we put Ducey outside when they come. When he jumps, he is right in their faces, and that scares them. Especially little Claire, who is only two. But he would NEVER hurt them. He is very sweet, just jumpy!! Have a great weekend.

  3. I do love Fridays because it is my one day of the week without kids (o; Although today Todd had to take Jaime to the Dr. for stitches in her head... an accident with an exercise machine. He dropped the 2 little's over while they went. She is fine... but will have more respect for the machine.
I have nothing you could wear for the ball (o: Wish I could help. Daughter does have some long black skirts.Probably like a 12. I think you are smaller than that though.
    Hope you enjoyed the mint.

  5. I love Whole foods Noreen, but the nearest one to us is about 60 miles away. When we go to Texas, I really get to enjoy them.
Glad you are feeling better, and the Victorian Dinner sounds wonderful, I have always told my family that I should have been born in the Victorian age. lol Good luck with finding your outfit.
Your bible study sounds awesome! We are finally getting some warmer weather, at least enough to melt this ice. lol
    Stay warm!
    Hugs,
